Making exercise to enjoy by increasing the fun aspect

It has been almost a year that we have isolated ourselves due to the pandemic and tried various types of sports that can be done at home.

Even though we enjoy a workout routine, doing the same things and going back to repeating them is tedious.

But replacing one sport with another is also not arbitrary.

For example, if you are accustomed to doing yoga, your body will be "shocked" when you decide to start a high-intensity exercise such as running fast.

Therefore, health and fitness expert Stephanie Mansour recommends trying exercises that are similar to the sports we currently live if you want to do variety.

As a result, we will get new things as well as take advantage of things that have been mastered before.

suggest some exercises that don't shock the body, as described below.

Both yoga and pilates are beneficial for stress relief, increased flexibility, and strength.

If we get one of these benefits when doing yoga, try replacing it with Pilates.

"I see my clients are often more energized after a few days of Pilates practice," says Mansour.

"The more energized you are, the more likely you are to continue your exercise routine."

Just like yoga, Pilates focuses on synchronizing the work of the breath with movement, aka meditation on the move.

That is why many people who are involved in yoga like to increase the variety of their workouts with pilates.

The difference, Pilates focuses on single exercises at a time with high repetitions and focuses more on involving the core parts of the body.

We will feel it in the stomach and see the positive results that are not obtained from yoga.

If your current training routine focuses on a combination of cardio and strength training (such as running and lifting weights), try incorporating tabata.

Tabata is a type of interval training, in which we perform various movements such as push-ups, mountain climbers or high knees for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds, and repeat eight times for sets of four minutes.

We can try tabata exercises with different styles through video tutorials featured on YouTube.

Walking around the home environment can indeed refresh the body and mind. However, if the route taken is always the same every day, of course we will feel bored.

According to Mansour, we can try running 5K as motivation to refresh the activity of walking.

"The 5K running workout may seem intimidating, but there are lots of plans that will gradually make it easier for your body to do it," said the yoga instructor.

"You can try running one minute and walking one minute during the week. Then increase the intervals to two minutes of running and four minutes of walking."

Ask friends and family to check the progress of our practice, and invite friends to join us in the practice, either in person or virtually.

Dance cardio has become a popular sport during the pandemic because it is easily accessible online.

In addition, dance cardio is a form of cardiovascular exercise without equipment that can be done indoors.

If you are tired of doing repetitive cardio workouts, play a song to increase your heart rate.

Choose a type of music that excites us and determine the tempo accordingly.

"There is a lot of intensity and modification available in cardio dance, so it's easy to find moves that can be adapted to your body and skill level," says Mansour.

Dance cardio is a full body workout that tones muscles and burns calories and can improve coordination.

For those of you who want cardio training by adding an element of fun, cardio dance can be an option.
