Does Your Pet Need CBD Oil For Dogs: Consider These Factors

If your dog is suffering from a medical condition, or if you suspect that they may be suffering from a medical condition, you may want to consider giving them CBD oil. While CBD oil isn't a miracle cure-all solution for every ailment that your dog might have going on, it can be extremely beneficial in helping them manage their symptoms and feel better overall.

Your Dog Has A History Of Seizures

If your dog has a history of seizures, CBD oil could be an effective way to help manage them. It's important to note that CBD oil won't cure your dog's seizures--it's more likely that it will help control them.

CBD oil can be used alongside other medications and treatments for epilepsy, including phenobarbital or potassium bromide. However, if you do choose to use CBD oil with these medications (or any other medication), talk with your vet first so they can monitor how well the treatment is working for your furry friend.

Your Dog Has Anxiety Or Stress-Related Issues

If your dog has anxiety or stress-related issues, CBD oil may be able to help.

Some signs of anxiety include:

  • Trembling, shaking, and hiding in fear when around people or other pets.
  • Aggression toward strangers or other animals.
  • Growling at unfamiliar sounds (like thunder).

Your Dog Has Cancer, Diabetes Or Heart Disease

If your dog has cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, CBD oil may help with pain, inflammation, and anxiety. It can also help with nausea and appetite.

CBD oil could potentially help with blood sugar levels in diabetic dogs -- but this is still an area of active research for humans as well as animals.

In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties that can help manage pain caused by arthritis or other joint disorders (like hip dysplasia), cbd oil for dogs may be useful when treating cancerous tumors due to its ability to slow down tumor growth while reducing inflammation caused by chemotherapy treatment side effects such as nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite.

Your Dog Has An Auto-Immune Disorder

If your dog has an auto-immune disorder, CBD oil may be able to help. Auto-immune disorders are caused when the body's immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues instead of identifying and attacking foreign invaders. This can lead to a wide range of symptoms that vary from one patient to another--and even within different patients at different times in their lives.

The most common forms of auto-immune disorders include:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Diabetes mellitus type 1 (DM1)
  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
