What is Global NCAP?
Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) belongs to the UK-registered charity Towards Zero Foundation. It aims to promote the sale of safer cars in developing markets by providing buyers with objective insights into a particular vehicle’s safety.

Global NCAP tests vehicles through front offset and side-impact collision. Indian cars are driven at 64 kmph into a semi-deformable aluminium obstacle to test their crashworthiness. So, how did Renault Triber and Kiger fare on this front?

Renault Kiger Safety Rating and Features
Renault Kiger safety rating as per Global NCAP is four stars for adult occupants and two stars for child occupants. It offers various advanced safety features, including four airbags, a front parking sensor, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability program (ESP), hill start assist (HSA) and traction control system (TCS).

Renault Triber Safety Rating and Features
Renault Triber is termed as one of India’s safest 7-seaters. It has a rating of four stars for adult occupants and three stars for child travellers. The vehicle’s safety features include a rear parking sensor, pedestrian protection, a speed alert warning, a speed sensing door lock, four airbags, and an impact-sensing door lock. For a safer driving experience, Triber comes integrated with tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability program (ESP), hill start assist (HSA) and traction control system (TCS) under Renault’s Human First Program.
