Do you need to wear shoes when working indoors?

If you've been training at home more often lately, you may have wondered at some point: do you need to wear indoor shoes? After all, coaches on YouTube make exercise videos.

So do I have to have my shoes inside?
As Dr. Ashley Lee of Northern Illinois Foot and Ankle Specialists at FabFitFun says, this is "absolutely" necessary.

"Since COVID-19, I've seen an increase in footwork and ankle-related foot and ankle injuries," says Lee. "People not only increase their outdoor activity (as long as the weather lasts), but they also take their training classes online, beforehand in person. For those who train at home, I see a common factor that they do not wear shoes during training.

What are the risks of barefoot training?
Barefoot training may not seem like a big deal, especially if you've done it before. But as the family doctor confirmed, Dr. Elizabeth Lee Micelle tells FabFitFun that there are risks to consider. For example, on smooth surfaces such as wood or carpets that are not intended for training, there is a risk of slipping.

"Simple exercises, such as lunges or squats, can inadvertently send you to an elongated split," says Micelle. "Bending, pulling, inversion, eversion, jumping and swinging of the foot and ankle can also be compromised if you do not have a shoe that supports rapid changes of direction. In addition, any activity that puts too much pressure on the heel or arch can send too much pressure through foot because it does not cushion the shocks that you usually find in your sports shoes.

According to Lee, training indoors without shoes can only lead to plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, narrow crevices in the legs, metatarsalgia (foot inflammation) and even ankle sprains. That's why it's good to wear shoes.

Are there any exercises that do not require shoes?
Of course, you don't have to wear exercise shoes that don't usually require it, such as low-impact yoga, pilates, abdominal exercises and martial arts. But shoes should be used for all testosterone enanthate for sale online/ other workouts, from cardio training to strength training.

Since so much is happening, the last thing you would like to do is add a foot injury to the list. It can be difficult to get used to the shoe before training, but do your best. You will be grateful that you did.
