What's your life like? I am an 18-year-old Russki man who came to America to seek a better life. I was poor in Russia and never had any fortune. Not me, per-say but my family. In Russia young adults did not need money back as I grew to be a teenager, therefore we needed to find ways to earn money. There were many different methods. Most of them looked like alcoholics asking friends for a few dollars to buy their own vodka bottle. It's almost like, we would go around looking for ways to earn a few minutes to purchase a loaf of bread. We would always be hungry.

So, I finally arrived in America. It's far away from New York, Brooklyn and Brighton Beach. This city reminds me many times of my home. It's loud, it's filthy, it's packed with Russian speech, the people are rude, it's just normal Russian city life. There are many Russian restaurants, music stores and book stores that I have spent a lot of money in.

I am a music lover as much as I like reading books. There is now a way to access Russian literature using Kindle which is what has occurred recently. And so I stopped buying books that were hard-copy, plus I don't really have any space in my home, and my wife is quite an escapist, so I try my best not to contribute to it by not buying new things that I don't really require to keep around the house, as there is no place to put it... While the stacks of books appeared interesting for the first few months, they became drab and boring as I realized there was room for my other stuff.

Music is different. Since my work requires driving a lot I also listen to a lot of music. And as an old Russian immigrants, I've never learned to like any new music I've found in the USA.. I'm not a fan of hip hop and rap. It's all the modern music that kids want to dance to. I really love old Russian music, also the jail type songs which are unique to the Russian music world. https://ytmp3.guru/ They're still extremely well-known even though I've been gone for 20 years. After a while I was able make a playlist that was over 300 songs which I thoroughly love. Since I have this precious collection that I have, I am able to easily get used to music. 300 songs is quite a lot. When I need to listen to them in the car but I don't have sufficient internet. It’s essential for navigation, driving as well as for my own personal enjoyment. I make all the preparations at home. I'm in the middle of. I take a few songs to Youtube as mp3 files. After that I burn the MP3s to CDs using my computer. After that, I take the CD to my car and listen. The website I came across, it can take Youtube playlists and print all the songs in the playlist, and each one is then converted to MP3 and saved on my personal computer. Then, you can convert the mp3 into an audio disc. Sometimes, I'm a mess and make a data CD. It won't play on the old stereo in my car. If audio files are recorded, it's incredible the way technology operates. You don't need to be online to listen to mp3s. All I need is CD to put into the stereo slot in my car. The music of Russia was blasting in Manhattan while I drove around.

It's easy and inexpensive for you to copy Youtube videos as mp3 and then save them to your Smartphone. A friend of mine hooked his iPhone to his car stereo and within minutes, it was playing very excellent sound quality. Also, it was possible to stream Spotify and Pandora radio, which means you don't need too much internet. I think I'll give this a try. But I will use only free wifi.
