drug rehab

The person has the option of choosing between an inpatient or outpatient program when they enter Pennsylvania rehab center for treatment of addiction to alcohol and drugs. When addiction is severe and medically assisted detox is necessary, inpatient treatment is always the best option for a person's needs. WaterGapWellness offers outpatient treatment for people with moderately severe addictions. This is an easy and adaptable option to help you fight addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Successful addiction treatment will aid the person to stop using alcohol or drugs and maintain a non-drug lifestyle and lead a fulfilling, healthy, meaningful life after recovery. Because addiction is a disease and a chronic condition, the majority of people aren't capable of stopping using drugs for a few days and then be completely healed. It's not the way addiction works. It'll make you believe it's possible to stop whenever you'd like, but it will keep you coming back. To achieve continued abstinence or recovery, many sufferers require ongoing or long-term treatment.

Beginning Outpatient Rehab

Many people wonder what Pennsylvania East Stroudsburg programs function. The first step in treatment is to perform an evaluation. Patients who enroll in RCA are evaluated using the American Society of Addiction Medicine Criteria (ASAM). This will allow them to identify the type of treatment that is needed.

The assessment is comprised of six components:

Dimension 1: Acute intoxication and withdrawal possibility, that examines a person's previous and present experiences with addiction and withdrawal

Dimension 2 - Biomedical conditions and the complications they cause. This dimension allows you to examine the person's health history and health status.

Dimension 3--Emotional, behavioral, or cognitive issues and complications, look at a person's thoughts, emotions, and mental health issues

Dimension 4 - Readiness to Change, which measures the level of interest and enthusiasm a person is in making changes in their lives.

Dimension 5--Relapse, continued use, or a persistent problems, look into an individual's specific relationship to Relapse, continuous use or the potential for issues

Dimension 6--Recovery and Living Environment. This dimension examines a person's living and recovery environment, and the places, people and objects they interact with.

RCA Therapists utilize the data from the six dimensions in order to decide the right level of care a person needs to start their healing.

These six dimensions give an overall picture of issues that are being confronted. You stand a better chance of success in recovery by addressing all problems rather than just one. When it comes to addiction, there's rarely just one cause that leads to substance usage. The ASAM Criteria considers all the elements that lead to the person's addiction.

At this point, RCA therapy providers and patients begin working together to develop an outpatient treatment plan which is the most appropriate for their needs.

Different Types of Treatment in Outpatient Rehabilitation

RCA offers three types outpatient services, based on the location you reside. These services will help you get back on track to recovery. Each patient is matched to the correct program based on their ASAM requirements. RCA therapists will talk with patients about their options, and help to select the program that best suits their requirements.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) A step-down program is utilized by RCA to aid patients transition from inpatient care to outpatient. It is used to treat patients who need a more intensive level of treatment with a greater frequency. For approximately 25 hours each week, PHP programming is performed by the patients. They program for 5 hours per day and 5 times each week.

RCA's Intensive Outpatient Program is for patients who have successfully completed PHP or are ready for less treatment than PHP and inpatient. They require a higher level of intervention than general outpatient groups and are committed to staying sober and a part of the recovery community. Patients in IOP attend sessions that take place three times per week, for three hours a day.

The RCA General Outpatient Program (GOP), which is the least intensive level, helps patients prepare for a long-term, meaningful life. Patients are provided with sufficient support to remain sober at home as well as in the community. Outpatient sessions are generally 90 minutes per day , and are usually held 3-4 times per week. General outpatient sessions continue for a period of time that is not specified until the Primary Therapist, patient and families decide that the GOP level of support is no longer required. At this point, it is clear that patients are ready to begin the next phase of healing in their life.

It is evident that RCA's three levels can be used together or independently. Treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each patient at the time.

Treatment programs are often used to help with a step-down process or even an up-swinging approach, if the patient and their therapist reach this conclusion. RCA provides a treatment program to assist people in recovering.
