Cabinet Refacing Wood Types

We work with one of the cabinet refacing products in the industry, Showplace Renew. With over 20 years in the industry, they have been able to create a product that is beautiful and durable. They offer a selection of seven wood types:

  • Cherry: its fine grain often exhibits swirls and flowing, random patterns. Its color varies from nearly white in its heartwood to deep reddish-brown. Cherry wood will darken with age.
  • Maple: its fine, uniform grain pattern is perfect for someone wanting a more modern look. Its color is a very light blonde.
  • Hickory: it displays vibrant grain patterns and wide variation in color. This is also available in rustic.
  • Red Oak: it offers prominent, distinctive grain patterns with light blonde to a reddish hue in color.
  • Quarter Sawn White Oak: its distinctive grain pattern perfectly blends rustic and modern styles. Its natural color is light greyish green to a deep brown.
  • Rustic Alder: it features fine grain with swirls and flowing random patterns, much like cherry but offers more character with knots, mineral streaks, and color variation.

We also offer a few exotic kinds of wood such as bamboo and wenge, that are available on a limited number of cabinet door styles.
