If you're looking for a remodeling project that will increase the equity of your home, is very inexpensive to buy and can be accomplished on a Saturday afternoon, look into tube skylights. If you want to "turn off" the light at any time, you now have the option of adding skylight blinds or shades. These are operated by an extension pole or a switch. You can even have a remote device, similar to your TV remote, too. In other words, today you can have an inexpensive tube skylight which can create a healthier atmosphere, will increase the value of your home and offer you control over the light input and heat loss of a room.
