UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year. However, in the year 2020 due to the pandemic, the December 2020 session was postponed. It is now scheduled to be conducted in May 2021. UGC NET is a national level entrance test that will be organized by NTA. Through the UGC NET exam, the eligibility will be determined for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & Assistant Professor and for Assistant Professor only. Candidates who will successfully qualify for the test will be considered for recruitment as Assistant Professor or JRF in Indian Universities and Colleges. The application process for the May 2021 session (December 2020 cycle) starts from 2nd February 2021 and will continue till 9th March 2021. Every year, the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is conducted to select the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and the award of Junior Research Fellowship. As per a recent announcement by the HRD Ministry, the examination will now be conducted by the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA).

UGC NET 2021 Latest Updates –

Download UGC Net 2021 (December session) admit card from 15th April. UGC NET Hall ticket can be downloaded from the official NTA website.
The last date for application submission is 9th March 2021.
The online application process for the May 2021 (December 2020 cycle) exam has started on the official website from 2nd February 2021 onwards.
The computer-based test is scheduled to be held from 2nd to 17th May 2021.

UGC NET June 2020, which was held from September to November of 2020, the window for challenging the answer key was open from the 5th to the 7th of November 2020 for 55 subjects.

For the rest of the 26 subjects, the window for challenging the answer key was open from the 16th to the 18th of November 2020.

Now, given below are the steps to challenge the upcoming UGC NET answer key:

Step 1: To submit a claim you’d need to go to the NTA’s official website first.
Step 2: Then press on the link which says “View Question Paper and Challenge Provisional Answer Key”.
Step 3: Then log in with your UGC NET registration ID and your date of birth/ password.
Step 4: Next, choose the option which says ‘Challenge/s regarding answer key ’ option.
Step 5: Choosing the option, you’d see that there are 2 IDs ordered sequentially, one for 50 questions of paper 1, and the other for 100 of paper 2.
Step 6: Next, you’d have to select the correct answer using the Option ID given alongside the Question ID for which you want to challenge the answer key.
Step 7: Next, you’d need to upload the supporting document for the claimed answer.
Step 8: Click ‘Save Your Claims’.
Step 9: To finally submit the challenge, complete the payment using the “Click here to Pay Fee” option.
The final decision on the challenges will rest on the NTA and the eventual result will be based on the final answer keys.
