This Ship is a BEAST in Tier 5-6 Battle, in Tier 6-7 battle she is best used for Sniping play for her massive damage (Against Cruisers that gun can spit out 10k damage\/citadel, against Battleships only around 5-7k) . NEVER approach a Destroyer without support in this ship , it's long and sluggish, making the Graf Spee a sitting duck for Torpedoes.

Graf Spee has Torpedoes too which makes the Graf Spee good for ambushing Battleships, But in order to do so the Driver has to use the Surrounding islands. This Ship is a force to be reckoned with in the Right Hands. It's not for everyone, I got it because it is unique in the German Tree and has interesting History. Do your research into it and how it plays before you buy it to see if it is right for you.

Update:

It's large guns and Larger than usual HP, might tell you to play this ship as sniper staying at range and pooping strategic shots into the enemy, I say otherwise, So far I have learned that this ship shines in close to medium range combat with other cruisers. Your guns are assured to pen citadels at tier VI, therefore charge enemy cruisers like you are in a boxing match using your thicker armour to tank damage and powerful guns to have assured citadel hits and you will come to love this ship. 'Treat her well and she will return the favour'

P.s : You have Torpedoes which have one of the greatest firing arcs on any ship in the game (You can almost fire them straight ahead of you and straight behind you) Whilst they may be slow moving and take over a minute to reload they are excellent in the damage department, giving you an advantage when taking on your enemies at close range.
