World of Warcraft Classic is not going to contain any expansion

It is roughly half a year since Blizzard announced it may be releasing a vanilla version of World of Warcraft. Dubbed "Classic," we just really knew which it was happening but not which version in the game it could be based on. Would this contain any with the expansions, or would it be the initial version with the game that launched in 2004? Blizzard has finally set the record straight, nevertheless the classic iteration will be determined by the final patch before Burning Crusade.

In a watercooler update on its official site, Blizzard writes, "As most of you have noted, the classic period was 2 yrs long and filled with changes. Core features like Battlegrounds were introduced in patches after WoW’s original launch, and class design similarly changed with time. After careful consideration, we determined Patch 1.12: Drums of War as our foundation, given it represents by far the most complete version in the classic experience."

That experience is indeed classic, it really didn't run well for Blizzard. They realize that there were difficulties with logging in, complications with getting modern hardware to realize the old code or even a complete not enough sophisticated anti-cheat solutions. As the blog mentions, "The game sometimes crashed, didn’t recognize our modern video cards, and was incompatible with his current login system. That first pass also couldn’t support any one our modern security and anti-cheating capabilities. Clearly, we'd a lot of work to do today to make WoW Classic fulfill the Blizzard standard of quality."

The rest on the post then goes into lots of technical details which might be beyond my comprehension. I've never been a huge data guy, so I'm sort of lost about how statistics get encrypted and what determines specific numbers in games. Original WoW have been very bloated, though, so Blizzard is looking to reduce some on the excess code.

At the very least ,, when World of Warcraft Classic does eventually release, it must be a much more stable version on the game of computer originally was at launch. I can't say I remember much in the way of crashes in the day, but I did employ a pretty beefy PC in https://www.mmoah.com/warmane
