I would normally say do a simple search on Google for https://quackr.io/temporary-phone-number/discord, but with online verification (OTA), it is definitely getting harder by the day to get anything other than a real SIM number to work.

In all cases you will need a Virtual MOBILE Phone number, not just a number, but one registered as a mobile number with the FCC. In many cases a properly registered Mobile Number will work and indeed when I look at the ConXhub SMS logs for ‘Discord’ I can see plenty of account activity, suggesting normal Virtual Mobile Numbers are fine.

However, even FCC registered Mobile numbers are starting to get push back. This is because there are two types of Mobile number, those attached to SIMs and those attached elsewhere, and some sites are now only accepting numbers directly attached to a SIM. ConXhub do offer Virtual Numbers attached to SIMs as a premium service, but in all cases, we would suggest trying a standard Virtual Mobile Number first.

When it comes to receiving OTA pins or messages, we would suggest finding a supplier who can offer to pass your messages into a private web page area or directly to your email, this will guarantee you receive the message as opposed to trying to get it to pass to your mobile phone which depending on which country you are in or which operator you are using, may not work.

Discord needs to set up an account by email but can verify your phone number. Discord is one of some online services that need users to provide personal information to authenticate their accounts
