You may need to tell your doctor if you are allergic to acetaminophen, caffeine, butalbital before taking this medicine.

To make sure this drug or medicine is safe for you, tell your doctor if you ever had:

● severe breathing problems such as sleep apnea, asthma
● porphyria, a certain enzyme disorder
liver disease
● kidney disease
● mood disorders
stomach problems
● a history of drug or alcohol addiction
● history of skin rash caused by any medicine

This drug can make you dizzy or drowsy. Avoid consuming alcohol while using this drug because it can make you more dizzy. Avoid drivingor operating machinery or doing anything that requires alertness until you know how this medicine will work for you.

Before having any surgery or medical procedures, tell your doctor that you are using this medicine and about all the products that you use. Old-age people may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug.

Do not use Fioricet if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. Doing so may lead to a dangerous drug interaction. The MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.

Fioricet could decrease the effectiveness of hormonal birth control pills, patch, or a ring which could cause pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about using some other birth control methods while using this medicine.
