In states where MMJ has not yet been legalized, there are some loopholes to accessing THC. For instance, the state of Georgia allows its citizens to buy “low-THC” CBD oil containing over 0.3% of the legal amount of THC allowed by the federal government in products derived from hemp.

Where is Recreational Marijuana Legal?

As for the present, the number of states that have either decriminalized or allowed the use of recreational marijuana haven’t even hit half of the total 50 states. Delta-8 THC, a cannabinoid with a similar chemical structure to intoxicating Delta-9 THC, is technically federally-legal under the 2018 Farm Bill.
Despite the fact that its effects are mild compared to the effects of Delta-9, many states have been reluctant to legalize it due to its psychoactivity. While some states have dealt with Delta-8 by banning it, others have yet to introduce legalization. Some states such as Florida have legalized only MMJ, but this has allowed people to access THC; people who would have otherwise found it hard to do so.
