A Product Manager is constantly updated with market trends. Therefore, he is in a position to advise the sales team on where to find the best opportunities. Thus, the work of his sales team can be further enhanced as they will obtain interesting data that they can take advantage of.

Also, the plan prepared by a Product Manager, although it does not prevent failures (no one can), it greatly minimizes product failures, obtaining a minimal risk of wasting resources.
