The bedrock of MAWbiz lies on three main pillars, sustainable branding, social advancement, and community empowerment through knowledge sharing.

MAWbiz is a local business search engine and digital marketing platform in Bangladesh that offers tools needed for sustainable branding. It is a multi-ethnic platform that enables businesses to interact proactively with the community, environment, and other businesses to make sustainable and responsible long-term growth.

The project began in 2017 and the website was made public in 2019. Since then, MAWbiz attained a significant increase in traffic and web ranking (see here), all of that without any promotional campaign and solely from the value it provides to users.  The motto of MAWbiz.com.bd is to give all businesses a digital space on a multi-ethnic web platform. It is a platform for all digital ads, deals, festive sales, coupons, flyers, and video ads. Our core goal is to empower brick and mortar businesses, providing them with an efficient marketing framework appropriate for businesses of the 21st century.

We strongly believe in community empowerment through education and operate a section titled ‘e-Learning Marketplace’. Our ‘Community Engagement’ section provides a whole range of features that offer productive recreation and are designed to keep the community well informed about social events and other useful updates.

Besides, we present the first Bangladeshi ethical job portal—'MAWbiz JobHub’. We aim to provide the job seekers adequate information about the average market wage, job benefits, and other employee rights along with the advertised jobs. We aim to offer an ethical job search platform that does not promote the exploitation of labor.

Altogether, MAWbiz is a platform where a business can get a solution for all its digital marketing needs, all the tools needed to be discovered in the virtual space, and all tools needed to build a long-term sustainable brand image. Regular users on the other hand get a unique business search engine offering distinctive options to search than other business search engines available, a place to easily get informed about all recent sales, offers coupons, etc., know about community events, find jobs, and enroll in e-learning sessions to learn new skills.

To solve the problem of a profit-centric approach and ignoring the community wellbeing, we offer businesses to showcase their philanthropic contributions (community involvement), offering scholarships and other forms of aid to promote learning and education (community advancement) and any green movement (eco-conservation) on their business profile. For each of these three types of contributions, we highlight the business profile with 3 different symbols. This will encourage businesses to promote more of those activities. We will also regularly advise businesses to put more effort into those activities to build a sustainable brand presence.

Our long-term vision is to create a common platform for businesses and the communities where the focus is not only going to be on promotional activities and business growth but on growth that is sustainable and beneficial to the communities and to the environment.  Such harmony between business and community growth can lead to a perfectly balanced social development that fosters wellbeing at the center of everything.
