Chrome-Nickel content refers to the percentage of chromium and nickel present in stainless steel. The amount of chromium in stainless steel is important because it protects the iron from rusting, a property known as passivation. The higher the chromium content, the more resistant the steel is to corrosion. Nickel, on the other hand, is added to stainless steel to provide a silver-like shine along with some additional rust resistance.
