Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a Microsoft protocol intended to promote safety and encryption of information transfer between users of clients, computers and a virtual network server. It allows a distant user to add another computer's graphical interface to the desktop. RDP is consistent with various kinds of LAN protocols and topologies based on the ITU-T.120 protocol set.
