ok the one funny thing is how you have a engine lift for reg engines not semi engines and it would have been alot better if it would have been alot more like cms15 not cms14 cms15 blow cms14 out of the water hands down and it does say glowplug and the cost i am pretty sure that it does not only cost 500 to get the head gasket replaced but over all not bad for your first tms game hope to seen a better one in the future ty for cms 15
looking forward to the dlc turbokit. Do not run it in a low Intel or it is crap
But if your running it on a I7 it is a good game. This is a pretty fun game, You get to change parts of European Trucks, and American ones too. Basically Car Mechanic Simulator, but with trucks. Well I got the game on sale. $2.74 cdn. I was pretty satisfied with the graphics, gameplay etc.

It would be better if it was just a Car Mechanic DLC.. I should have taken more notice of the negative reviews with this title. I was expecting a truck version of Car Mechanic Simulator, since it's from the same publishers. But it's far from it. The user interface isn't the most intuitive, making gameplay cumbersome and frustrating. Graphics are poor, even on highest settings, which is abysmal for a game only a few years old.

Shopping for parts is a chore due to the unnecessarily long part names (eg; "Hose from radiator to water pump", instead of something simple like "Hose A") and a lack of variety of parts. There's only one serpentine belt for example, whereas in CMS, you have to choose serpentine belts based on the engine you're working on. This is the same for all parts. There is only one type of every item.

Overuse of primary colours and bright, unrealistic visuals along with rough edges instead of smooth curves are disappointing to say the least. Surface textures appear dull and low res, even with graphical settings maxxed out.

Summary: This game is trying hard to be something it isn't. It feels unfinished, and it only kept me entertained for 10 minutes, and that's being generous. Refunded after 15 minutes. Shame. This COULD have been awesome.. This game is ok. I think if it has the same functions in all aspects of car mechanic simulator 2015 it will run and be as good as car mechanic simulator 2015 instead of 2014. hopefully an update will come and change the functions and make it more fun to play. As others have said here this really doesn't compare to Car Mechanic Simulator 2015, a game which I love and have nearly 200 hours into. The graphics are good, but the gameplay and UI is very slow and clunky. Mouse movement is very slow and inaccurate, making it difficult to tag smaller parts. The camera angles are the biggest problem. They're very awkward and limiting - in some cases you have to get to a very particular angle just to see the bolts you are trying to remove. Also the order of parts during removal is a bit off to me. In order to remove a head gasket, which required removal of the manifold, I had to remove the entire exhaust system all the way back to, and including, the stacks.

I only paid $3 for this, so it's hard to feel ripped off, but I don't see myself playing it much more than the hour I've spent on it. Pass on this, get CMS2015 if you don't have it.. Playing a few minutes of this after HOURS of CMS 15....it's just awful

-Most of the parts are wrong (Most trucks are double disc clutch with centerplate. A huge majority are pull to release clutches)
-Most of the procedures for repairs are wrong (You dont need to take off all of the exhaust system to pull the head
-It controls like a boat
-It's difficult to remove larger parts
-Removal of the drive shaft makes no sense
-Lack of details (Brake shoe return springs, for instance)
-Getting to parts in the center of the truck is sometimes impossible.

This is coming from less than an hour of playing and comparing it to real life, something that this is supposed to simulate.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is the game to buy. It's polished and less of a hassel than this. Devs, if you remade this using your new game engine and with a little more detail and research put in it, I'm sure it would be a pretty big success. Unfortunately, this just doesn't cut it.

Why to NOT buy this game! (coming from someone who works on heavy duty trucks):
-It's no where close to being realistic.
-Most of the parts are wrong (Most trucks are double disc clutch with centerplate. A huge majority are pull to release clutches)
-Most of the procedures for repairs are wrong (You dont need to take off all of the exhaust system to pull the head
-It controls like a boat
-It's difficult to remove larger parts
-Removal of the drive shaft makes no sense
-Lack of details (Brake shoe return springs, for instance)
-Getting to parts in the center of the truck is sometimes impossible.
