Mobilization of the joints of the ankle and foot especially the subtalar joint is a crucial part of treatment. A specialized manual therapist should be ready to mobilize the foot and ankle appropriately for sinus tarsi syndrome.

Correction of Biomechanical problems like overpronation should be done. This might help relieve the narrowing of the sinus tarsi canal. An orthotic insole to correct biomechanical foot problems could also be needed. It's important to possess correct supportive trainers .

Stretching and strengthening exercises for the ankle to normalize the muscle balance around the ankle is extremely important to regain the entire range and strength of the ankle.

Proprioceptive and balance exercises on a wobble board enhance the joint sense of the patient. If an individual/ athlete has been out of coaching due to the injured ankle then the proprioception or coordination of the ankle are going to be disrupted. Balancing exercises and employing a wobble board can strengthen the proprioception and reduce the probabilities of re-injury.
