Top Ten Animated Scooby Doo Movies in 2021

Scooby-Doo is a favorite of many Millennials. Perhaps you were a Daphne or Velma girl. These movies were loved by you, regardless of your gender. These are my top ten favorite animated Scooby-Doo films, influenced by nostalgia.
10. Chill out, Scooby-Doo!
The gang visits the Himalayan Mountains to discover that the Abominable Snowman has wreaked havoc on the nearby town. The Snowman is a scary and cool character that the gang meets. The Snowman saves Velma and is shown to be one the good guys in a twist ending. The story doesn't end there. It's implied that an Abominable Snowman exists, but it is up to the audience to decide.
9. Scooby-Doo & the Legend of the Vampire (2003)
The gang goes to Australia for a concert but discovers that a vampire has kidnapped the performers! The Hex Girls are my three favorite girl crushes and this movie is very special. The mysterious "vampire" was actually the mysterious Wildwind band (who look a lot like Kiss). They are sent to prison in Scooby-Doo style after the big reveal.
8. Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur (2011)
This movie is an adventure. The gang travels down to New Mexico and encounters the ghosts of dinosaurs. As a side story, Shaggy becomes hypnotized, and is confident and fearless while all this happens. The movie becomes even more wild when we discover that a real dinosaur has been preserved in quartz. It is quite a sight to behold. The villains are sent to prison at the end.
7. Aloha, Scooby-Doo! (2005)
The gang travels to Hawaii to attend a major wave festival. However, the Hawaiians are disturbed by the influx of tourists and surfers into their small community. Their friend's girlfriend is kidnapped by vengeful demons! Their friend is also kidnapped later, and the gang are left to their fate. It turns out that the girlfriend and friend were the ones behind the demons all along! They wanted to scare everybody away so that they could purchase real estate and make a profit from the resale. They are sent to prison (wait for it).
6. Scooby-Doo! In Where's My Mummy? (2005)
The gang travels down to Egypt to see Velma, who has been working to restore the Sphinx with Prince and other archeologists. Velma discovered Cleopatra’s necklace! The curse is unleashed by tomb robbers who appear and take the necklace from Cleopatra. Velma and the Prince are made to stone and all others must fight an army of mummies. Surprise twist: Velma and Prince played Cleopatra as the head guard and Velma played the army. This was done to scare away the tomb robbers, who were eventually sent to prison. Click now!
5. Scooby-Doo! The Loch Ness Monster (2004)
The gang travels from Scotland to the Blake Castle to spend time with Daphne, who has owned it for generations. The gang is chased by the Loch Ness Monster while they are there. He also destroyed the field for the highland game. The gang eventually get together and board a submarine to track down the Loch Ness Monster. It is eventually captured and shown to be a fake submarine. Although the movie shows the fake monster, it leaves us wondering if the real thing is out there. There are suspicious underwater photos and a shot showing something swimming in Lake Loch Ness.
4. Scooby-Doo (2000) and the Alien Invaders
Roswell, New Mexico: The gang stumbles upon a restricted area of government property and is greeted by a UFO. The gang also encounters aliens. Shaggy and Scooby are both given love interests, which adds an...interesting...dynamic to this movie. They were trying to steal gold from government land. The movie then shows us real monsters! Unfortunately for Shaggy, Scooby and their love interests, they are real aliens and leave behind the gang.
3. Scooby-Doo (2001) and the Cyber Chase
The gang discovers that a videogame is being created based on their past adventures and they travel to the college to try it out. The game's villain has entered the real world and terrorizes the gang before they are all sent back to the game. The gang fights the virus at different levels of the game, each with its own unique environment. They meet past versions of themselves when they reach level ten. They team up to defeat some of the most iconic Scooby Doo Movies villains and defeat the virus. They uncover the identity of the villain and then he is whisked off.
2. Scooby-Doo! The Witch's Ghost (1999), and Scooby-Doo!
Witch’s Ghost, my personal favorite Scooby-Doo film, is an excellent example of Scooby-Doo’s success as a franchise. Velma, Velma's favorite author and Velma travel to Massachusetts to find his ancestor's healing books. The ghost of the author's ancestral is a distraction to the town's celebrations. However, it turns out that this ghost is a fake. The Hex Girls are the first encounter between the gang and the Hex Girls. Side note: The Hex Girls are icons. I love them, and will always stan them. The author discovers his ancestor’s book. However, it is actually a spell book with evil writings that transform him into a warlock. This will also release the vengeful spirit from his ancestor. Although the spirit decimates most of the town's inhabitants, Hex Girl Thorn is a witch who can send the spirit and author into the book to end the terror. This is the only Scooby-Doo movie to feature a real monster.
1. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998)
Zombie Island has been called the "creme de la crème" of Scooby-Doo films. Daphne's television program is where the gang goes. They spend the night on a plantation to investigate the hauntings. The gang is attacked by zombies made up of tourists, pirates and others. Things get tense when their hosts reveal they are the real monsters and turn against them. To live forever, they transform into anthropomorphic cats each full moon. They are the remains of the souls of everyone they have abused for hundreds of years. The zombies are unable to steal the souls of the gang and become dust. All the stolen souls are released and the zombies go on to the afterlife. The movie, which is quite scary at times, was one of the first to feature real monsters and started a revival of Scooby-Doo movies. Zombie Island has a lot to be thankful for.
