Cannon investigates the possibility that there is a conspiracy behind the assassination of a black female politician.
In the cop and detective shows of the 1960s and 70s, the shows tended to use some of the character actors again and again and again to play bad guys. Because of this, when you saw certain actors in the show, you just KNEW that they were behind all the evil going on in the episode. That's true with the likes of John Colicos, Anthony Zerbe, Simon Oakland and Robert Webber. So, when Herb Edelman shows up about 10-15 minutes into the show, you just KNOW that he is the baddie behind everything. This is a weakness of the show....and many shows.

The episode begins with a politician being gunned down while on the way to a rally. The gunman is shot and killed and Cannon wants to know if he was just wacky lone gunman or part of some bigger conspiracy.

The most interesting part of the show is where you learn one of the characters was gay. This was a shocker for 1975...and the show dealt with this sensitively and without being exploitational. Apart from that, the show is about average...nothing all that special.
