Taking a look at Sneaky Mammoth's 10 second platformer.
There publisher Sodesco and I had a disagreement in another of there early access games which they slapped me with a copyright strike so I'd thought I'd investigate the rest of there games.

I have to say I rather liked this game thus far. Honest review of the gameplay video below:

The basis for the game is pretty simple.
10 seconds to get to the end of each level, get the doorway before the time runs out.
Pretty simple, right?

Well, luckily there is a pause button so you can plan your steps because with some wonky jumping physics, level perils and some randomly generated levels you really have to plan it out.

Pixelated graphics are not too bad. The jumping seems to not be 100 percent responsive though that might be part of the fun.

Pretty simple concept for a game, nicely executed, something you can pick up for short doses.

I'd give it a 7\/10 as it could use a few touches but will update as development progresses.

. It looks like a decent platformer. Don't be fooled though, it's♥♥♥♥♥. This is a great pick up and play game.

Tic Toc Tower is a procedurally generated roguelite in which you conquor single room obstical courses. You get TEN SECONDS! Complete with leader boards and a co-op mode.

Certainly a fast paced bit of fun. Definitely worth your time if you can catch it on sale!

I normally don't like games like this.

But it has potential.

I recommend this to people which are looking for a very hard jump-and-run.

Loot.Pixel.Princess.Again. The premise of this game sounded interesting to me and it was 75% off in the store at the time, so I figured why not give it a try? I have to say I'm terribly disappointed in the game. The levels are very simple and extremely repetative. Within minutes I felt like I had already experienced everything the game had to offer. Winning a level doesn't feel rewarding, and losing doesn't really carry any consequence. There are a few unlockables you can work towards to extend the life of the game, but honestly there isn't very much to see here. I've played free flash games that were far more entertaining than this, as well as ones that held my attention for far longer. If you're on the fence about this game, do yourself a favor and spend the money on something else.. With decent controls and significanty more level variety, this could've been an ok game. However, when the premise of your game is to complete levels in 10 seconds and you don't have that many levels or good controls, frustration and boredom set in all too quickly.. There's some neat ideas here. I particularly like the concept of randomized level order, which eliminates the most tedious part of simplistic leaderboard / speedrun-style games: getting through the first few easy-mode or low-multiplier levels in order to progress to the challenging portions.

That said, absolutely everything else about this game ranges between "neat idea, needs improvement" (short levels are nice, but there should be a lot of them, otherwise the game gets incredibly repetitive in a bad way) to "how the ♥♥♥♥ did anyone not fix this" (none of the characters stand out from the background, so every level begins with a split-second of trying to figure out just where the heck you are - why not have a spotlight flash or, hell, even an arcade-style "v 1P v" indicator?). The controls are mediocre at best (have fun trying to jump off a single-tile-wide block), the music is the sort of stuff that's fine for a thirty-second minigame, but grates on the nerves after the third or fourth minute, the leaderboards aren't done too well (no filtering to just your Steam friends, and no filtering by character, which means certain characters are pointless to play as since their physics render them objectively, mathematically inferior to others - this is on top of the fact that since the level order is randomized, your streak of fifty clears of the hardest jumping puzzle maps can be trumped by some lucky idiot who got the "walk right" level fifty-one times in a row, so the whole thing is a bit more about "who got good RNG" than "who is a platform speedrun god king voodoo pro").

I like that the game is simple. I like the THEORY behind this game. But the execution is very much a "meh".. The concept of the game is pretty neat, with levels that are upside, tiny, zoomed in, etc. However, your character 'slides' slightly when moving/jumping and sometimes the controls don't respond precisely enough. With this type of game you really want 100% control. There also don't seem to be too many different levels. I only played it for about 9 minutes (those 4 hours was me idling for cards) and already replayed some levels several times.. Although time based games and platform games are normally not my forte, I really like this game.
It is easy to play, quickly addictive and has some nice original twists to it.
Also love the look 'n feel.
Keep up the good work!. Tic-Toc-Tower is a fast-paced platformer with some of the most intense yet simple gameplay I have ever experienced. The game revolves around overcoming an onstacle course within the span of ten seconds, or twelve if you managed to grab a clock on the previous level. The levels are randomly chosen from a batch of many different levels, each with their own clever twists and turns to keep you on your toes, always wondering whether the next level will be incredibly hard or pretty easy.

PROS:

-Extremely catchy and upbeat music
-Great Pixel-art
-Fun
-Addictive
-Has co-op
-Many different modes
-Intense gameplay
-Easy to learn, hard to master

CONS:
-Occasionally throws incredibly unforgiving levels at you
-The art style can sometimes be a bit distracting when looking for platforms which are actually jumpable
-Precision platforming is a bit hard due to the floaty nature of the movement

All in all, this is a wonderful little game at a great price, which, despite it's few flaws, is definitely worth picking up if you are just looking to sit down and have fun playing!
