ThinkGrow Model-W 630 Watt LED Grow Light VS Pro Grow 6 Bar 630w LED Grow Light

Plants can be notoriously tricky to grow at home. If you're trying to grow different types of plants from seed, they will need the right conditions in order to germinate and grow properly.

One of these factors of course is natural light! However, if you're trying to propagate or grow plants in a dark environment, this can be difficult. How can you get your plants the right amount of light they need to grow?

LED grow light strips can help make your life much easier. Simply pop these above your plants, plug them in, and they'll be ready to go.

Are LED grow light strips good?

LED grow light strips are good, yes. Especially if you want to grow plants from the comfort of your own home but don't have that many well-lit areas! LED grow light strips work to give your plants the full spectrum of light that they need in order to grow big and strong.

Plants will need light at all stages of their growth, so it's well worth investing in a quality set of LED grow light strips to keep them thriving. You should definitely buy a set of LED grow light strips if you're a keen gardener!

What color light is best for plant growth?

Plants require a mixture of light in order to grow. They work best with a lot of red and blue lights, with smaller amounts of green and yellow. They need this full spectrum of light in order to get the right amount of photosynthesis.

Different wavelengths of light can promote different aspects of your plant's growth, so it is very important to get the right mix of this light.

ThinkGrow Model-W 630 Watt LED Grow Light

Features:
The Thinkgrow grow light is a high-performance LED grow light for horticulture cultivation. It is designed specifically for high PPFD cultivation practices. Full-spectrum design with spectral tuning capabilities covers each critical phase of growth from vegetative to flowering. An independent Far Red 730nm channel is designed to target Phytochrome Far Red in photomorphogenic lighting applications. Base on research, introducing far-red light after the lights have been turned off can lengthen the dark period to encourage the flowering process. 630W adjustable full spectrum + far-red LED.

What are the Benefits of Using LED Grow Lights?

LED Grow Lights are way better than the conventional HPS lights in terms of:

1) Economical: LED grow lights use less energy and heat to produce more usable light and thus a much economical and convenient option than traditional lights, which cost you long electricity bills.

2) Eco-Friendly: Since LED lights don't contain toxic gases or substances such as mercury or lead, they are eco-friendly and recyclable.

3) Longer Lifespan: LED lights use less temperature to produce more heat, making them more sustainable. They are designed to last longer for up to 102,000 hours. Their low operatable temperature makes them long-lasting and more durable than conventional lights.

4) Efficiency: LED lights convert energy into usable light 40–60% more than conventional lights with a low heat signature. While the other traditional lights given off most of their energy as heat and are only efficient 20–40%, LED grow lights produce very light heat and utilize most of their power into light emission.

5) Less Heat Production: Unlike HID lights, LED grow lights rarely emit wavelengths of 730nm, due to which only a minimal amount of heat is directed towards the plants, and the rest is the ambient heat from the panel. This makes grow lights suitable for plant growth as more heat production can burn the leaves of the plants and damage their development.

6) Better Crop Production: One of the best advantages of grow lights is that they speed up the growth process of plants by providing adequate lighting just like natural sunlight, resulting in better crop production.

How To Choose The Best Grow Light?

Plant Growth Stage & Light Wattage

These two elements have a close connection with each other.
While there's a common rule of thumb - 1-square-foot grow space needs ~32W of power, this number might slightly change due to your plant growth stage. In detail, the vegetation stage needs 390–450 watts while the flowering stage is 512–650 watts.

Light Intensity

Again, this feature is decided by your plant growth stage and growing space. The most ideal light intensity range might be from 300 to 800 lumens for each square foot.

Light Spectrum

While a full spectrum includes blue, white, and red lights along with UV and infrared lights, research reveals that plants benefit from the exploitation of blue, green, and red parts.
Not to say that plants from stage to stage need a specific light spectrum range to ensure maximum growth. There are 14 wavelengths, and specific ones needed for photosynthesis are employed in the engineering of grow lights for both the 1st and 2nd growing stages of a plant.

When considering this feature, consider two solid things: full light spectrum and VEG/BLOOM settings.

Conclusion

600 watts of power is a nice medium between super expensive grow-light set-ups and finding a light that gives enough power but will not break the piggy bank. They can be used as supplemental lighting as well as your main growing light.
Using lights at this wattage when you first start out growing makes things simple, and as you become more advanced and buy bigger and stronger lighting, you can use the 600watts to add more light and supplement where a bigger light is not necessary.
