When Anya's sister is killed by a ruthless terrorist organization she vows revenge.
The Romeo Division is a special anti-terrorist unit made up of five women and conceived by former government agent John Romeo. When one of the members is killed and an associate kidnapped Anya, the leader, vows revenge. But before long Anya is unsure who she can trust. Can she depend on her comrades? Can she avenge her sister? Can she control her own anger?
I looked over the other comments and was thoroughly amused to find that clearly only people who actually worked on the movie had commented. I mean, I hate to say bad things about an amateur production, but if you make a bad movie and want to comment on it, tone it down a little. "Groundbreaking" is a little over the top. This is a Boston based college production that doesn't even achieve the level of most amateur college film. It's what you would expect a bunch of kids to do. A silly action film without much creativity. It's pretty funny if you're willing to poke fun at it. Not something you will ever see unless you are a student at Emerson college.
I very rarely take time to comment on a film. As an auteur myself, I find these comment sections tedious, self-serving and oftentimes obviously self-padded by the likes of the writer or director or producer. However, I must take the time to comment on this piece of work. As the lights lowered I knew I was in for something special-not your typical production. I was enraptured by the company logo ( although I must admit readin "XODus Films" in the snow was at the last couple of frames was a bit difficult.) The work that then unfolded in front of me was masterful. Handled with surprising dexterity by its helmer, I was engulfed in what can only be described as "A profound sense of Sarro". A filmmaker who at a tender age has already defined and redefined his muse-I find that truly inspiring. Taking the crackling dialog provided by the screenwriter and thus "Sarrounding" us in a world that is at once inviting and yet truly mystifying is a Herculean feat. The wonderful cinematography, the editing, the use of music reminiscent of yet not cloyingly lifted from Media Ventures combined with a first rate cast has made this opus a wonder at which to marvel.

Special note must be given to the riveting performance of Omar Robinson as Burnam. Layered, textured-brilliant.

For those of you looking for a decent film-rent the Matrix. If you need a work that will transport your soul- the Romeo Division is that film my friend....the Romeo Division is that film.
