The PS4 was first released in 2013 it was released in 2013. The PS4 has since be not just one of Sony's most successful consoles but it's also become one of the most-loved video game platforms ever. Despite this, Sony is now looking to sell the PS5 as the primary equipment, which means the PS4 will soon come to an end. As of now, thanks to new information from Sony that we've got some idea when PS4 is likely to officially go out of the market.

The latest financial presentation, it was made clear that games for PS4 will be gone by 2025. This doesn't mean the older PS4 games will not be available for purchase, however Sony is clearly planning to stop releasing new titles on the platform by this time.

Instead, by 2025 Sony has predicted that by 2025, the majority of the revenue related to games will come from PlayStation 5, with titles that are available on PC and mobile devices also contributing about a third of the revenue.

As a whole, this probably shouldn't be too surprising considering that the PS5 is expected to be Sony's primary focus in the years to in the years to come. Still, it's worth stressing that, at the moment this is a time when the PS4 is a device that Sony is still developing and releasing games on. In fact, this year's top PlayStation game buy D2R ladder items, God of War Ragnarok is set to release on PS4 as soon as it's released.
