The long-running and popular online role-play video game series RuneScape is now coming to tabletop gaming with two brand new games launching later this year. The developer of video games and the publisher of RuneScape, Jagex, has joined forces with the tabletop gaming powerhouse Steamforged Games to create both tablestop and a board playbook for the role-playing game, inspired by RuneScape's rich fantasy setting of Gielinor.

Both games will be released in 2022 when the board game being launched through Kickstarter along with the TTRPG coming straight to the stores. The games will take inspiration from places, characters, and adventures from the RuneScape's 21-year history, with the board game requiring one to five players on quest-based adventures through Gielinor.

They'll craft and upgrade equipment, improve their character prepare special meals, engage with NPCs, and test their abilities while exploring various regions of the world, with an array of exciting side quests to distract and entertain them along the journey.

The TTRPG will be a gorgeously illustrated, hardback book that contains guidelines for players to play an RuneScape tabletop role-playing game in which they can build themselves characters and explore Gielinor in their own unique and exciting quests. The TTRPG fundamental book is totally compatible with OSRS Buy Gold rules of fifth edition of the roleplaying tabletop game.
