Why has NBA wages increased significantly?

The reason is simple, as this year's salary cap jumped to $94 million, up more than 30% from $70 million last year. The salary cap is the standard for how much money a player can get. Salary cap up three achievement means that any one player as long as keep their level, since this year to sign a new contract, in theory, you can get a thirty percent increase from last year's salary. With the Chicago bulls played before the paint all-star joakim Noah - for example, he move to New York in the summer, the contract is said to be four years 72 million, looks very scary, but rose by comparing the salary cap, that is so last year, got a 4 year 54 million annual salary looks much more normal, right?

So since wages are followed by wages, why haven't we seen such a big rise in the past? The reason is very simple, the definition of salary cap, mainly related to the number of broadcasting contracts. Earlier this year, the NBA announced two broadcasters NFL Coins with TNT and ABC/ESPN (ABC and ESPN are sisters) signed a new contract, before a contract is signed in 2002, until 2015-16, annual cost is $930 million, and 2016-17 new contract comes into effect the start of the season, the annual cost up to $2.67 billion, is a three times before, and this is just the domestic broadcasting contracts. A big increase in the cost of the money has led to a rise in the pay cap, and the wages of players are rising. Hence the madness of this year's free market.
