The discussions progressed and Melvor Idle was soon signed to Jagex Partners, the RuneScape publishing arm of the firm. Jagex offered Malcolm help with his development, and also helped with a complete overhaul of the brand in addition to assisting with the management of communities and localisation, taking an idea created by one person and made that is available in 13 languages (so to date).

The launch was earlier this month as well as the Early Access version proved this formula was popular with RPG enthusiasts, having been downloaded more than 600.000 times across Steam and the major mobile app stores. It was way above and beyond his initial hopes when Malcolm launched his game. Naturally, he believed that his strategy would succeed but he didn't have an 'endgame goal in mind.
