A business has the option of carrying out a pre-assessment audit that is carried out before a certification audit takes place. The degree of conformity of the management system(s) of an entity with the specifications of a standard is determined by this pre-assessment audit. At this point, no formal report is produced.
The organization must undergo a two-stage audit within the first year of the ISO Certification Process. The aim of a Stage 1 Audit is to review your existing management system arrangements and check how close you are to meeting the specifications of your chosen norm.
Here, the auditor may collect information on the policies, records, activities and scope of the organization's management systems in place, including their regulation.
The Stage 2 Audit comes next. The aim of a Stage 2 Audit is to recommend the certification to the organization. The auditor performs a comprehensive review of the operation of the management structure by the corporation and finds proof that the entity is implementing the documentation (policies, procedures, etc.). A detailed study, documenting all fields of conformity or non-conformity, is published. The auditor will recommend the company for certification if no significant non-conformances are given.
