A bounty hunter learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure.
The gambler and former police officer Milo Boyd owes money to dangerous takers and works as bounty hunter. His ex-wife Nicole Hurley is a reporter snooping the mysterious death of a man that was reported by the police as suicide. Meanwhile Nicole is accused of running over and assaulting a police officer and is summoned to a hearing in the court. However, she has a lead for her case and she misses the audience with the judge. Milo is assigned to track down and arrest Nicole; in return, he would receive an award of US 5,000.00. While hunting Kate, Roy stays close to his ex-wife and they both revive the good moments they had in their marriage and Milo. But Nicole is pursued by the criminal that she is investigating
The opening sequence was enough to tell you that you were in for a lazy, poorly thought out movie. IN the opening scene Gerard Butler is driving his car when suddenly smoke comes out of the trunk. He stops and opens the trunk lid and Jennifer Aniston jumps out holding a road flare. It turns out that Butler arrested Aniston and locked her in the trunk. In an effort to escape she found the road flare and ignited it. Really?

If you ever have the misfortune of being kidnapped and locked in a trunk and you happen to find a road flare, whatever you do, do not light the damn thing. Several things could have happened, all of them resulting in Aniston's death. If you are in a car trunk, one thing that you are in short supply of is air. Lighting a fire would quickly use up all of the air and she would suffocate. It would also get extremely hot, like 300 degrees or so. You would have baked Aniston. Finally, that vehicle, like nearly all cars has the gas tank next to the trunk compartment. The gas follows out towards the engine through rubber tubes. The flare would have probably melted these rubber tubes and flooded the trunk with gasoline. If she was lucky, she would have blown up which would have been so preferable to burning up alive or suffocating.

The point is that they filmmakers thought this little bit was clever and entertaining. But it had the opposite effect. Sort of like the entire movie. They though it was clever and cute, when it was dumb and not thought out. Don't feed us crap like this and act like you thought of something smart. It was incredibly done.

One more thought Jennifer Aniston acts exactly the same in every single movie. Why do they bother giving her a different name. It should be Rachel Green all the time. Gerald Butler, the new face of the manly man, with Jennifer Aniston the old face of the most romantic of pursuits... what could go wrong? Well, the script for once. The chemistry between the characters maybe. Also, only if one was malevolent in nature, it might be thought as possible that the soundtrack would be constructed out of catchy pop songs that are all the rage this very minute, but gone the next. Certainly, at least the acting would be without flaw.

Well, the correct choice is "all of the above" and they acted like they couldn't wait to end the movie sooner. Even the negative character had a bad time playing this. It was no. fun. at. all.

Bottom line: stop wasting our time with movies that are predictably bad, else you will lose the last shred of audience naive enough to actually pay to see your movies: romantic girls. This dire battle-of-the-exes action-comedy severely tests audience goodwill by running an indulgent 110 minutes, crammed as it is with half-baked thriller subplots and aimless supporting characters, as if to distract from the central duo's nonstop bickering.
