Following the latest killing, Black Lightning tries to clear his name as he hunts down the person responsible for his father's death, while tensions remain high between him and Gambi. Black Lightning might be a conflicting show but it does have it's good moments and one of them is episode 9 which packs some great dramatic chops from the cast, Jefferson's relationship with his daughters gets developed better and that Black Lightning scene with the slow mo and thowing that dude away after lifting him up was badass. Also finally some good character development with Gambi and Anissa's costume looks cool, overall one of the better episodes of this Season so far. (9.5/10)
So kids need a lot of patience. So true.

When trying to convey this to an audience, the choices made in this episode were very wrong.

By portraying Jennifer as a whiny, respectless, unreasonable, naive and self absorbed all at the same time, it gets incredibly hard to find anything left to feel sympathy for her.

The rest of the plot sees Black Lighting and Thunder find and destroy a lab, which is reasonable to watch, but anything from inspired as well.

All in all a mediocre episode with lazy plot choices. The writing staff gets a thumbs down for this one.
