Jaime learns that a bionic prototype was applied to a German Sheppard six years earlier. Every defect that Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers have suffered from over the years, Maxamillion (whose bionics cost a million dollars) suffered from first. Now Max is acting lifeless and depressed and Rudy Wells is planning to put the dog down. So, Jaime takes it upon herself to prove Max still has the will to live.
For a season three opener I thought this was a great two-part story!

Lindsay Wagner is on fine form as ever and the story has something for everyone. Nice to see the season three theme slightly revamped and the incidental music pacey; I particularly enjoyed the musical contributions from Robert Prince with his 'Friends' song.

Also lovely to see supporting cast featured as well as the introduction of a bionic dog!

Some great action sequences and clever stunts and it's a credit to all concerned for making something that could have looked not so good to a first class piece of television, mixing science fiction with an everyday situation.
