When a cop is found dead, John and Dorian are sent to investigate. John knows the cop and all signs lead everyone to think that he may have been doing something illegal which John doesn't believe. When Maldanado speaks with the cop's Captain, he says he doesn't believe he was doing anything crooked. But he was determined to find the one knows as Bishop who is responsible for a new drug that is highly addictive and deadly. When John finds evidence that proves the man was trying to get Bishop, he asks Maldanado to let them run an operation to find him. They know he's looking for a new chemist so he asks Rudy to go undercover and he agrees.
When a colleague gets shot in a drug related situation, John is the only one who believes in the innocence of his old classmate. Rudy sees an opportunity for his fifteen minutes of fame when a drug cook is needed for an undercover operation.
This series showed a lot of promise. The previous episodes expanded on the premises first put forth in the P.K. Dick nook and earlier Total Recall 2070 cable TV series. I was looking forward to more episodes.

But this episode took the all too familiar "cop as judge, jury and executioner" angle so reminiscent of so many threadbare yet still popular American TV crime dramas, e.g., Agent Gibbs in NCIS, Agent Callan in NCIS:LA, Detective Benson in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Agent Greenaway in Criminal Minds, and far too many other such shows. Yet again we see a supposedly "good" cop "forced" to do bad things (in this episode murder a disarmed suspect) for the sake of expediency/public safety coupled with a lack of faith in the judicial system he is supposedly sworn to uphold and enforce. The episode was enough to make me no longer interested in any future viewing of the series. If I want to see bad people doing bad things to other bad people, I'll pull out a Tarentino movie.

This kind of "law enforcement" may appeal to those who take the simplistic view of vengeance as justice. In fact, such depictions only serve to insult and denigrate the honest and honorable efforts of what I hope are the majority of real life law enforcement professionals.

This series had promise. I doubt that it will last. This episode is hard to swallow - Especially if you swallow too much of a new drug called "The Bends".

A cop "Cooper" is killed while offering up a "cook" for this stuff, and it is said that he had turned Bad Cop- As a large quantity of "The Bends" is found in his trunk.

But Kennex is gobbling up some noodles in his favorite skid row noodle joint, Dorian is not patient enough to sit and watch him eat. As Kennex Insists that it would be rude to not eat EVERYTHING on his plate, Dorian sets him up with a nice juicy SLUG for dessert.

So this Cop that got shot, Kennex insists he would not have been selling dope. Kennex thinks his friend was on an unauthorized mission to bust a dealer, but unfortunately the head of Narco won't look into it. But Maldonado can, and will.

Kennex and Dorian Fringe Out a clue and an identity falls out: "The Bishop" - Someone Narco had been looking for, for a decade: Cooper had smoked him out but his cover was blown.

So Kennex wants to pretend to be a cook and get the guy, But to make any potential cook believable, they have to be a Geek- Aka a "Rudy".

Whoever got the drop on Cooper is getting too much info from the Department - Rudy has a cocktail of some Nano-Junk that makes him Fart out his GPS location - But "The Bishop" gives him The Antidote.

The question is, since the GPS Fart Goop was brand new, how did "The Bishop" get the antidote, or even know Rudy had swilled it down? Rudy fakes his way through a cooking session, and gets to meet the real "Bishop".

So The bigger question is who The Bishop really is, Maldonado basically tricks the info out by Ye Olde Reverse-Phone-Lookup, Rudy has to stall somehow, gets creative. This has got some great Robot-on-Robot action and some Digital Balls get busted in this Ep. It's the Rock-Em-Sock-Em VX vs DRNs.

And Kennex has to take Rudy to the classy Cop Bar at the end, hopefully all of the GPS fart-juice has been ejected.
