There's a lot of interest in RuneScape on iOS and Android. More than 1.8 million players have pre-registered to OSRS Gold play the games, which offer a user-friendly interface for mobile devices with revamped menus, icons, text and textures. The company has filed two trademarks in the UK, one for "OSRS Gold" and another with the title "RS Gold" The filing stating that the company has registered the usage of the words as words. This should stop third-party sites from being able to advertise that they sell RS Gold.

A cursory Google search for either of these terms will bring up a myriad of websites, most of them with one of these terms in their URL, offering the currency of RuneScape that can be exchanged for real money. This came after the announcement on October 13 that Jagex was putting an end to "real-world trading". In a post on their blog "The RuneScape Team" explained that "gold bought through RWT real world trading is a major issue in any online game that features a tradeable currency."

Jagex claims it will send "messages to players we've identified as engaging within"RWT" within "the coming hours". "For anyone who was involved, we'd like to emphasize that this is your sole message, and the only one," said the statement.

The announcement also included the news regarding the games PvP feature, Duel Arena, would be subject to sweeping changes which include an increased enforcement of game's code for conduct so as to encourage positive game play. Jagex declares that the mode "has been a catalyst to this kind of toxic behavior".Before that publishers say OSRS Buy Gold that "short-term measures" will be implemented "until that our developers can provide a major update that completely replaces Duel Arena in the coming year."
