  Not only is this game a hidden gem, but you also have to collect 128 of them in the game. And you can be sure, this will be no easy task. But the game keeps you going on by featuring nicely implemented Metroidvania style exploration based gameplay all wrapped up in a neat Zelda II coating just without the combat. What's great in the graphics department is the extensive use of options to tweak the display, from scanlines, to pixel format or even adding a nice TV like border around the game's display. And this is only scratching on the surface of this feature. Believe me when I say that every retro gamer will love these possibilities the game offers in this department. For me this game is a nothinker at recommending it, but you should maybe wait for a sale or discount as the standard pricing is a bit high in my oppinion.   A Story Beside up on Steam : Hello all, A Story Beside now has its own page on Steam! This is my follow-up to World's Dawn, planned for release in late 2018. For anyone who hasn't been following the project, it's a narrative-driven adventure game set in a magical fantasy world and starring an ordinary innkeeper. New marriage candidates! : Hello all! I'm happy to announce that due to popular demand, Quint and Senah are now marriage candidates! These were two of the most requested additions since the game first launched and I'm hoping they'll give old players a reason to revisit Sugar Blossom Village. As for new players? World's Dawn is a whopping 75% OFF as part of the Steam Winter Sale, so it's never been cheaper or easier to jump in! I really hope this steep discount will encourage new folks who might be on the fence to try the game out. And I really appreciate any help you can offer spreading the word to friends and family this holiday season This has been an amazing year for me since releasing this game last January. I'm a one-man development team without the support of a studio or publisher so the love and enthusiasm the community has shown World's Dawn has truly kept me going. There are big things in store (including a new project which I'll be officially unveiling soon!) and it's all thanks to you Sugar Blossom villagers.. No farts wasted - the first update. : So, thanks to all for your very valuable feedback, here is the first update for Sigi. Controls You asked for: - support for many more controllers, DONE - swap A and B buttons for jump & fire, DONE - vibration support for Xbox controllers, DONE - WASD keyboard support, besides the existing controls, DONE - J to jump and K to fire, besides the existing controls, DONE - Mouse buttons to jump and fire, was done, but removed again, as it messed up how the menus worked with the mouse. Will try to get it working for the next update, as it did play very well like that! Achievements: Now, once the game is completed, achievements fire off after every level when you decide to go back to complete your score, instead of after the final boss. Final boss: It seems many players did not understand the hints on how to defeat the final boss. These have now been changed to give clear directions. Screen / layout: You also asked to be able to play in a window instead of full screen. This is in progress for the next update. Plus a couple of other tweaks and boring corrections not worth mentioning.. Double the farmland! : Hey everyone! Since the release of World's Dawn a little over a week ago, I've received a ton of wonderful suggestions and feedback from the community. I read and took to heart all of your comments and messages, and have been hard at work implementing many of the suggested improvements into the game's first big content update. First things first. you now start the game with twice as much farmland! This was by the far the most requested improvement, so I'm happy to say you can now plant up to 40 crops in your hillside plot. In addition, you're be able to water multiple crops at once after upgrading your Watering Can at the Sunflower Farm. Another new feature is Noah's Notebook , a handy guide you'll receive at the beginning of the game that better explains its many mechanics and activities. Many players requested an improved tutorial (especially those unfamiliar with the Harvest Moon series) and this new item should certainly help. The third major addition is each villager's name appearing over their sprite when you talk to them . This will help new players keep track of who's who when they first move to town. After a few weeks (once you're familiar with all the characters) these names will be hidden. In addition to these improvements, many early bugs have been addressed. Here are the highlights: The game-freezing bug some players encountered after marrying Hailey should no longer occur. If you proposed in the winter (or possibly late autumn) and Seth didn't set a date for your wedding, he will return in the morning and set it for the next available date. The character portraits for all marriage candidates will now change with each season. Villagers should no longer refer to you as the wrong gender. Many other minor dialogue issues have been fixed as well. These are just a few of the issues that have been addressed. I have been following the discussion forum very closely and have been working hard to fix all the little bugs that have popped up over the past week. On that note, I really appreciate your patience as I continue to improve World's Dawn! A game with this many variables based on player choice is incredibly difficult to playtest. especially as a one-man development team. I can't express how grateful I am at the amount of support and positive energy that has come my way since launch =) Thank you all so much!
