The weapons are fun to use, there's a huge variety from frying pans to grenade launchers, and there's plenty of stuff to take in the beginning , however, Understand that it's hard to get supplies when you have so many people using them or you've checked over half the map, also bring a follower when you're doing missions cus you can die pretty damn fast alone and it's great to have someone to watch your back.

P.S - Leave the Big uns alone and shotguns are really helpful and Molotovs can help too, so keep that in mind
. This DLC is underesstimated. I find it really funny to play the game with a more proffesional twist to it. You ahve access to a lot more ammunition which changes the playstyle, you can actually use freaquently, see a horde? Nothing a mag can not handle. You'll also have new cars which can take a lot more beating before it breaks, meaning it can be used a long time bfore it needs repairing. From my point of view I do not see any reason not to play this if you enjoyed state of decay.. ONLY BUY ON REBATE
My advice, * play the original story * which is a BLAST!!!
...or, challenge yourself with Breakdown (the never-ending campaign!)


Lifeline is Buggy...
Vehicule control is bad (and you will be doing A LOT of driving).

The map is circular... just an outer ring with a few neighbourhoods for MMO-type missons
(e.g. go all the way to the other side of the map to pick up this guy and bring him back here -- now go to the other side of the map again, riiiight at the freggin' neighbour's house where you were for some papers and come back... now back to the other side of the map for... ad nauseam.)

The most inexcusable thing is that the AI is dumb as doornails. If you are not at your base to single-handed defend it, you will lose it FOR CERTAIN. These "army doods and dudettes" can not take a single decision by themselves. . . When a zombie horde is smarter than your team, you have a problem! ;-)

Moreover, this game Is Short.. Left my base for 2 min..

So i decided to let my men do the work.. There were no survivors..

10\/10. This DLC was a big meh. 1 useful vehicle added and no new weapons\/items. The map is very tiny. Like surprisingly small. At least 90% of the map you cannot even enter, and since this non-playable section is in the middle of the map you spend 90% of your time driving from one corner of the map to the other. And when you add to the fact that zombie horde attacks happen so frequently on your base you can only do one or two missions between these battles.

Base is hardly upgradeable and pointless besides some you need like the garage because you're secondary weapons will be molotov cocktails because there is no other way to defend against huge numbers that rush you at any given time. You're base members also don't really do much of anything. During a horde attack they'll be off in some random faraway spot being devoured and just useless.

Gun mechanics are also seriously limiting. You wouldn't notice it in the main game but when you are getting bit\/knocked down\/surrounded you'll naturally want to get up and start shotting. But you can't do that! You need to wait until you're fully up and able to interact and then right mouse button and start firing. If you hold down the right mouse button while getting up you'll start swinging your melee and oh! on the ground again. Reloading times are also insane. I'm not in the military but even I can reload magazines and shotguns 2x as fast as these characters do.

Zombie respawning rates are insane. Trying to loot buildings is a pain because zombies just respawn right outside, so you can search one item, kill a few zombies that spawned and repeat. And setting up outposts (which are pretty useless) are almost impossible because you need to walk around outside the building and kill everything, but by the time you get around a building more have spawned on the other side.

Overall yeah I guess its worth $7 but you're only going to get maybe 7 hours of entertainment out of it.. DO NOT BUY FROM UNDEAD LABS. A little research will show that they quickly move on from their products and stop patching or supporting their products. State of Decay is no longer sold or supported. In order to get this DLC and be supported is buy the YOSE. They have abandonded titles before, They will do it as long as people keep buying from them. They did the same thing with their Moonrise title after just 6 months.

Buying this DLC just lets developers know that it is okay to leave you high and dry.

There is an easy way to get my business back... continued support of older titles.. Can't say I enjoy this DLC that much. Sieges happen too often and barely provide enough time between each of them for scavenging runs, let alone doing side missions. And if that isn't enough, during sieges (that sometimes last forever...) you not only have to defend yourself but NPC that are too stupid to defend themselves as well. Guns take forever to reload. At one point during a neverending siege, almost all NPC's died. I mean, I get it, it was supposed to be harder than the base game but, to me, it makes it as mess to play with. No fun at all had to go back to base game to get some.
