With the possible return of Roger on the horizon, everyone is concerned about the consequences if The Founder were to find out. Now aware of the truth about the machine The Founder has been using him to train in, Stephen needs John and Cara's help to destroy it. Meanwhile, Russell and other Tomorrow People have lost hope they will ever find The Refuge and choose to head out on their own.
The opening of this episode is a bit of a mess, feeling more like we've just come back from a commercial break, with a confused action sequence, John, Cara and Astrid inexplicably sitting around in the lab instead of trying to help Stephen and Roger being killed far too early for it to have an impact.And someone seems to have twigged a bit too late that giving Jedikiah powers was a dumb idea that distracts from the main plot, so he immediately loses them again.

What follows isn't much better:The lair, deserted at the end of the previous episode, is suddenly full of Tomorrow People again(who disappear again when the hit squad turns up), there's no sign of Irene who was last seen apparently depowered, and all the attempts at character moments feel like an attempt to please everybody.So we get John and Cara having a talk about him not being able to hear her anymore before she barely notices him for the rest of the episode.John pops by to see Jedikiah, who has a vaguely homoerotic video collection of him, and inexplicably takes the man who's hunted him for years and just attacked Irene calling him his son as a compliment.The Founder suddenly being able to make paranormals kill whenever he wants is a horribly convenient plot device, although at least it adds to Stephen's heroism when, with a bit of help from Cara, he makes the choice not to kill.Someone also apparently twigged how nonsensical the Founder's plan is so they announce that once humans have been frozen they can't be unfrozen...then flatly contradict it by having John and Astrid recover. And why is Russell still hanging around with Ultra? Things kick into high gear once the heroes somehow work out which café they all need to go to to plan a counterattack.What follows is some great action sequences although Cara just gets thrown about by the Founder and the Russell/Natalie showdown is just forgotten, with Russell not even appearing again until the closing scenes.It's lucky that the Founder left a human on guard so he could get frozen but the final battle between Stephen and the Founder is really cool.Sadly, it's let down by Cara's absurd "death", where John must be blind not to notice Natalie standing right behind her.Fortunately, someone on the writing staff saw Superman:The Movie that weekend so Stephen gets to wind time back and save the woman he loves.

And then, in a pleasing callback, Stephen and Cara keep the promise they made to each other and set up a refuge for paranormals, while being as coupley as they've been in ages.That should have been the end. Unfortunately, someone seriously thought they'd get a second season.So in addition to Natalie's frustrating escape and some odd attempt to make Cara's resurrection seem ominous, there's some nonsense about Jedikiah, who everyone has still forgotten is a monster, going back to Plan A and setting up an army of paranormal soldiers with a brainwashed John as his right hand man.

And so Tomorrow People 3.0 ends with less seasons and less episodes than either previous version, although it probably edges out New Tomorrow People in terms of minutes.It's been a guilty pleasure at times but it really doesn't deserve to supplant the far superior earlier versions in the public consciousness so hopefully it will soon be relegated to a footnote along with the equally misguided remakes of Survivors, Bionic Woman and Knight Rider. Rodger is supposed to be more powerful and would be able to control time. It just doesn't make sense to see him make a plan to take the founder head on without considering to stop time and then disable the machine then do whatever he wants with the founder. Can anyone so dumb get to be a series writer? This is one of the lamest shows i have seen ever, what the hell is wrong with the Founder and Jedikiah? Why do they make stupid not so useful plans and fail to even half-assedly implement it? The finale is taking the worst turn when Stephen suddenly get the power to time travel when the plot so conveniently required it, why doesn't he do the same to go and save his father, why not extend it even further to go and save everyone who had died? No wonder they canceled the dumb show written by stupid writers!
