I spend plenty of time camping in the summer. This means that my friends and I are always looking for new, innovative gadgets to buy and use for our camping trips. There are thousands of different camping gadgets out there, so it’s hard to know what you should be looking at in the first place. Below, I’ve put together a list of some of the best camping gadgets I’m aware of, to help you narrow down your search and find the perfect tool for your next outdoor adventure.
TIP: Some of the best gadgets and tools for camping are simple ones, like a good flashlight.
1. Why do I need a solar shower for my camping trip?
There are so many reasons to have a solar shower as part of your camping gear that it is hard to know where to start.
First and foremost, a shower helps you stay clean and hygienic when you are out in the wilderness. If you plan to camp in a remote location without access to running water, a solar shower is an essential item.
Washing away sweat, dirt and grime will help keep the bugs away. It will also help prevent skin irritations if you are sensitive to outdoor allergens.
Another reason why you need a solar shower is it can be used for washing dishes or rinsing off your gear after a long hike with heavy equipment. If you use it for these purposes, then you can wash with the cooler water that remains in the bag after the sun has heated most of the water inside the bag.
2. Collapsible water bottles for my camping trip
There is a good reason why you need to take a collapsible water bottle with you on your camping trip. A collapsible water bottle is a solution to many problems when you are out in the wilderness.
It is a lightweight and compact alternative to heavy metal or hard plastic bottles. It is easy to carry around and can hold up to 750ml of water. You can easily fit it in your pocket or backpack without adding that extra weight.
You don't have to worry about bottle breaking while you are exploring the wilderness, which can happen if you use a glass or hard plastic one. There is also no risk of getting cuts if you accidentally drop them on rocks or concrete surfaces.
If you use a regular bottle, there is always a chance that it will leak when you are carrying it around. This problem does not exist with foldable bottles because they are made from silicone, which does not allow any liquid to seep through.
3. Here are some reasons why you need to have a portable grill for your camping trip:
You can cook anywhere you want.
Portable grills are small appliances that can be carried from one place to another. Whether it is large or small, it can fit any car or van for travel. Thus, giving you the chance to bring it anywhere you want.
You don’t have to worry about the food.
With this type of grill, you don’t have to worry about the food going cold or getting burned because of the uneven heat distribution or fire source. Portable grills such as Weber Q1200 Liquid Propane Grill offer an excellent heat distribution which results in evenly cooked food. It also uses a clean energy source which allows you to prepare a delicious meal without worrying about anything else but enjoying your meal with your friends and family.
You can use it anytime at home.
Having a portable grill at home is always better than having a conventional grill where it has many parts that are not easy to move around the house or garden when needed.
4. A heat-resistant solar blanket is an essential camping tool that can help you make the most out of your camping trip. Here are its uses:
It provides shelter from the sun. A heat-resistant solar blanket keeps you warm during cold nights and cool in warm afternoons. It protects you from the harsh elements of nature, including too much sun exposure, which can cause skin damage such as sunburns and skin cancer. It serves as protection against rain, sleet, and snow.
It serves as an extra layer of protection when you sleep outdoors. Although sleeping bags keep you warm during cold nights, they are not enough to keep you warm if it rains or snows outside your tent or camper. Heat-resistant solar blankets serve as an additional layer of protection while you sleep outdoors.
5. LED Lanterns are an essential part of your camping gear. They provide light when it’s dark outside, and can be carried anywhere you go. But, what exactly do you need them for?
Whether it’s a campfire or the lanterns that come with your tent, there are several reasons you may want to consider using one.
1) You need to use the restroom
The majority of tents feature a lighted interior, so you don’t have to worry about tripping over things while walking around in the dark. However, if you don’t have a lighted interior, it can be difficult to find your way around. You don't want to be caught without a flashlight in the middle of the night!
2) You need a light source at night
It's not always convenient to carry a flashlight everywhere you go during the day. For example, if you're on a hike and it starts getting dark, it's easy to lose track of time. This can lead to accidents and injuries if you aren’t careful. By carrying a lightweight LED Lantern with you at all times, you can make sure that you always have light when you need it.
3) They are safe
Unlike the traditional lanterns that used flammable materials, LED lights operating on batteries cannot ignite or make temperatures too hot for touching. That is an important feature if you use them in tents or in places where is a risk of fire hazards. The COB (Summit Cob Lantern) models even have magnets that allow you to fix them to walls and roofs without fear of falling.
6. You need a good flashlight because you want to find your way around at night, but also so you can light up the area around you, giving you comfort and security.
