Rocket League has developed this massive audience largely off of word of mouth from other fans, and because they’ve done a great job of issuing new DLC and patches in a very nice way. Paid DLC is reasonably priced and the new crate system is fun and full of cosmetic only items.

Since its release in July 2015, Rocket League has been gaining momentum as rapidly as the boosts on its cars. Developed by Psyonix, the soccer game with rocket powered cars has been a hit with PSN and PC gamers, enough to Rocket League Items warrant physical PS4 and Xbox One releases a year later.

Psyonix has vowed to support Rocket League with consistent downloadable content, with the intent to keep all gameplay updates free and only charging for cosmetic items. So far, the company has been keeping their promise, releasing multiple maps and game modes for every platform.
