Residing Wonders: A Class in Wonders Workshop

The beginnings of A Program in Miracles may be tracked back to the relationship between two people, Helen Schucman and William Thetford, equally of whom were distinguished psychologists and researchers. The course's inception occurred in the first 1960s when Schucman, who was simply a medical and study psychiatrist at Columbia University's University of Physicians and Surgeons, began to have a series of inner dictations. She defined these dictations as originating from an inner style that discovered it self as Jesus Christ. Schucman originally resisted these experiences, but with Thetford's inspiration, she started transcribing the communications she received.

Around a period of seven years, Schucman transcribed what would become A Course in Miracles, amounting to three amounts: the Text, the Book for Students, and the Manual for Teachers. The Text lays out the theoretical base of the class, elaborating on the primary concepts and jesus gospel of love . The Workbook for Pupils contains 365 lessons, one for every single time of the year, made to steer the audience through a daily practice of using the course's teachings. The Handbook for Educators offers further guidance on how best to understand and show the maxims of A Course in Miracles to others.

It suggests that the confidence is the foundation of putting up with and struggle, as the Holy Spirit offers a pathway to healing and awakening.
