If asks, click on Yes to permit user account control permission

Then reopen QuickBooks Desktop

Step 2: Download QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool

Download QuickBooks Tool Hub and go to your download by pressing CTRL+J
Using your downloads list click on QuickBooksToolsHub.exe
Click Yes to allow this app which will make changes
Now click on Next to install it and then click Yes again for accepting the license agreement
Click on Next and then Install (it might take a while)
When the installation is complete click on Finish
Now open QuickBooks Tool Hub (Icon will be available in your desktop)
Head to Installation Issues tab and then click regarding the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool
It could take a while to configure…
Once it is configured, click on Yes to just accept the license agreement
Click go to start repairs on your QuickBooks desktop components.
Once completed, restart your pc.

Step 3: Rename the QBWUSER.ini File
In the event your QBWUSER.INI file is damaged or missing it can be resolved by renaming it. To rename it.

Open File Explorer (Ctrl+E)
Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Intuit\QuickBooks 20XX. XX represent the QuickBooks version year such as QuickBooks 2018, 2019 etc.
Make a right-click on QBWUSER and select Rename
Add .OLD at the end of QBWUSER. It could look like QBWUSER.OLD
Delete your Entitlement File too

Press Windows+ R together to start Run
Enter C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8. If not found search for C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6 and click OK
Then make a right-click on EntitementDataStore.ecml and click Delete and then Yes
Now reopen QuickBooks
If QuickBooks is open after following step three make sure to open the Sample file first, when you can open the sample file and struggling to open your own company file. Please move your company file to another location and open it from there.

If you’re unable to start your company file from the new location this means your file could be corrupted, attempt to restore a recent backup.

If QuickBooks still won’t open and possess QuickBooks Has Stopped Working error, this means your QuickBooks installation is damaged.

Step four: Reinstall QuickBooks Using Clean Install

Uninstall QuickBooks Program

Press Windows+R keys together to open a Run
Type appwiz.cpl and then click OK

If asks, click on Yes
Once QuickBooks Tool Hub is open click on Installation Issues
Click on Clean Install Tool
Then choose your QuickBooks Version and Product Version (see an image below)
Then click Continue

You will reinstall QuickBooks desktop on your desktop.

Step 5: Create a unique Windows Admin User
If you’re still facing the same issue it might be a reason for damaged Windows installation. You may have to create a fresh Windows user and use QuickBooks after that.

Make a right-click on Start icon and select Settings
Click Accounts
Then Choose Family & other users
Click on Add some other person to the PC
