When more than one user tries to access the company files from a single user mode, QuickBooks Error 6190,816 occurs. This type of error may also take place when there is a mismatch between the company and the transaction file. The transaction file is a type of file where all the transactions that are made by the company are preserved. Such files automatically get stored in QuickBooks without the permission of the user.

When a person prepares to update the transaction file without updating the company file, this error is likely to occur then. Because of this, the computer system will be unable to accept the alteration and hence QuickBooks Error 6190-816 will pop up.

This error may also occur if the company file has become corrupt or damaged because of which you need to restore them back into your device.
