Solution 1: Open a Sample of the Company File
The user needs to open the folder that contains the required company file.
Now with the help of the extension of .QBW, find the file.
Simply “Right-Click” the file then Click on Copy.
On your desktop, then right-click on the desktop and click on “Paste”.
Open QuickBooks so you are directed automatically to the No Company Open window while holding down the control key.
Bring back an existing company.
Find the company file you first copied, open it and then Navigate to the desktop.
Solution 2: Copy the QuickBooks File on the Desktop
The user needs to open the folder that contains the company file.
Now the second step is to find the file with the extension .QBW.
The third step is to right-click on the file and then select Copy. Go to the Desktop, right-click anywhere on the desktop and then Paste.
While holding down the control key, open QuickBooks and you are then directed to the No Company Open Window.
Click to Open an existing company. Now simply Navigate the desktop and then Find the company file that you copied and open.

Solution 3: Recreate Damaged Folder to resolve Error 6000
On your C:\drive Create a new folder
The user needs to open the folder where the company file is saved.
Locate the .qbw file.
You need to Right-Click the .qbw file and select Copy.
Open the new folder, right-click and select Paste.
Going forward you need to set the access permissions for Windows in order to share company files.
Open QuickBooks Desktop and open the file from the new location.

You, first of all, need to Restart QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
Please ensure to re-scan the company file.
Then Click on Start and Select All Programs.
Select the QuickBooks and click on QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
Click the Scan Folders tab and select the Add Folder.
With the files, otherwise, highlight the folder and click Scan.
Make sure that the company file in question always shows in the bottom box with the heading of “QuickBooks company files found”.
Now after this try to open the file again.
Try to sign in to your company file after opening QuickBooks. If the same issue persists, then you have to follow with the next solution.
Solution 6: Shut-Down all QuickBooks processes
On the server computer, you need to Log-in as “Administrator”
To bring up the task manager press Ctrl+Shift+Esc
Please select the Users Tab, Show processes for all users.

Need to Open the file in the “QuickBooks Multi-User Mode”.
Solution 7: Make usage of UNC path instead of a mapped drive
On your desktop in the first place Right-click the QuickBooks icon.
Then press and hold the Ctrl key and select Run as Administrator.
Until and unless you have the No Company Open Window hold down the Ctrl Key.
