Pop star Urie expressed irritation as Trump plays his song in rally

Popular music star Brendon Urie demanded President Trump to stop playing his songs. This reaction came from the 33 year old star after Trump played one of his songs named ‘Panic’ during resent Phoenix rally. Urie used cursed words and extreme reaction though his social network. He also urged his 6.6 M twitter followers to dethrone the President in the next election. This news has been buzzing amongst the top trending entertainment news.

Celebrities versus Trump

This is not the first instance when President Trump has faced the heat from the celebrities. Alyssa Milano has been vocal against Trump from the very beginning, even before he became the president. It increased notably after the actress joined the MeToo movement. NBA star LeBron James criticized Trump after disinvestment of Stephen Curry to the white house. Celebrity author of Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling compared Trump with the main antagonist of her novel Lord Voldemort. She even went onto saying that the villain character was even better than Trump. Music star Lady Gaga was critical on Trump banning transgender in military. John Legend called out on the racist remark of the President. Celebrities like Olivia Wilde, Josh Gad and many others used abusive tweets to express their disagreement with Trump. The list continues. In most of the cases there were no reactions from the President. But the situation was different for the Meryl Streep case. He called her ‘overrated’ after the 2017 Golden Globe speech of the actress. Celebrity news magazines fuelled the issue seeking reaction from the actress. Well, series of exchange of words followed that incident from both sides.

Unfolding the Urie reaction

The two time Grammy award winner Brendon Urie published a series of tweet threads to criticize Trump. Urie addressed “everyone else” and said that “Trump represents nothing we stand for. The highest hope we have is voting this monster out in November”. Urie also called trump ‘toxic orange’ in 2018. The interesting development is Urie’s social statement came shortly after the family of the deceased Tom Petty issued a cease and desist letter to the Trump Campaign. Pettys song ‘I won’t back down’ was used in a rally in Tulsa without any permission whatsoever.

Trump on using Music without consent

Trump is also known for using songs of the artists without their consent. In 2018 Trump played popular Rihanna track Please Don't Stop the Music. She was not apprehensive of that at all. Around the same time Guns N' Roses star Axl Rosering blasted Trump for turning down his 'formal request' to stop using Sweet Child 'o Mine, a hit song from 1987. Other celebrities demanding the Trump from playing their music includes names like Elton John, George Harrison, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Pharrell, Neil Young, Adele and many more. The relationship of Trump with celebrities never went that smooth. There are a few who have supported Trump during the election campaign. The contemporaries termed them as gold diggers. Few things are common among the celebrities who have bitter word of mouth with Trump. Some celebrities put their opinions forward disapproving something about him. From the other side the thing they receive is personal attack. Things haven’t changed much since.
