After the patch, I have to change my review. It's not awesome but it has become playable. I think that it will become a good game.. omg a real waste of money, please dont buy it. Great Game! But it is not work well with MacBook Pro.. I am shocked at the reviews below. To be honest the game is very fun. You manage everything in the restaurant such as the menu (you design your own pizzas or use standard ones), you manage your staff shift and timings, furniture, logistics and supplies, pricing and marketing. I wish that the layout can be made more flexible and the storage to be more smart as sometimes it get full but some items not their. Its amazing game and graphics are good for the game style. If you like tycoon games and simulators i personally believe you will enjoy this game.. Let me start this off by saying I 100% would recommend to people to play this game. I got into it because I loved the game Fast Food Tycoon and used to play those back in the day. I was trying to fiind something similar and I stumbled upon this gem. I mainly love playing these tycoon games in the free mode or where you can vs AI/others to give yourself competition and more mental challenges. But I have also gone through the majority of the story. I will say that their two recent updates have added a lot of fun to the free game and if they keep adding to it it will only become better. My review will be including the newest update that was JUST released, the Cheesy one. Here are my pros and cons for this game: Pros: 1) There are a lot of ways for you to run your restaurant and take control of what happens. You can hire your staff, train them, make sure they stay healthy by letting them have a day off, and keep them motivated if things in your restaurant are not going as they should. You can also now create longer and shorter shifts which is great and can help on employee costs. 2) You can coontrol the quality and where the ingredients you are recieving comes from. This is important for planning how long food will last in storage or if you are selling at a good pace, with a warehouse the right distance your food will always stay at a high quality. 3) You can use advertising spots and mascots to increase your influence area. The marketing spots allow you to direct the cutomers they interact with to a certain restaurant. This is awesome especially if you have restaurants built for certain citizen types. You can send them according to those builds. 4) They have added new features which have made the game more fun and not stay the same the whole time. There are now "Catastrophes" and changes in what certain citizen types like which make you potentially have to change things up. Or you might just not be making as much money for that period of time. 5) I also really enjoy the pizza making features. Using the 'cell phone' there to gauge whether what you're making will work or not is pretty fun. It can be a fun puzzle trying to figure out what will work for multiple groups. Weight, cost, type, and flavors come into play with the different groups and ingredients. With the new mixups on what different groups like it can also make you have to readjust for some days deending on if its a group you targeted heavily. That has added some new fun. They also have added the catastrophes which some of that makes certain ingredients unavailable for a certain number of days. So if you used that ingredient it forces you to create new pizzas which is also a fun tycoon aspect. 6) Decorating your restaurant is something I have come to love. There are three levels and four different types of furniture you can decorate with. It is a pretty fun puzzle trying to figure out how to match the levels and types needed to have the greatest variety of customers coming to your location. Becuase if your decor (and even menu) do not speak to that customer they will not even come in. Cons: 1) My big con and really only one personally for the story is I wish there were more story branches. Either different from the main or you could make choices to head down different avenues. Just expand the story or create other ones you can do. Just more pre-planned missions for us to do (ie Roller Coaster Tycoon esque). 2) I would love for their to be a more advanced way to customize the city layouts of maps. To either have more restaurant spots or less, more advertising spots or less, warehouses, etc. Or maybe to even have buildings that you can choose to be either a restaruant, warehouse, etc. 3) In free play the computer opponents need to be worked on for sure. I would like for there to be more then only 3 computers, but that is just a personal issue. The work that needs to happen is that usually only one computer opponent will actually be financially stable and growing in my experience so far. The other two just die off or waste space. The other issue is that beyond one restaurant the computers dont know how to run the restaurants. Their second and third (even the ones financially stable) never seem to have customers come and they do not keep their food stocked to serve anything. This makes it to where you really have no competition in free mode. Also none of them use gangsters so you never feel threatened in that way either. 4) The gangster system does need to be worked out some more. I like how they have done it but it needs to be improved. When you destroy a restaurant multiple times, the competitor still wont sell it. I have tried in the free game many times now to get a restaurant spot I want to no avail. 5) There is one bug I have found personally and it isn't game breaking but it is a nuisance: a) There is a bug where sometimes after researching upgrades you cannot upgrade items. Sometimes exiting and going back into the game lets you upgrade. Other times you may have to terminate your business with that item (warehouse, advertising item, restaurant) and repurchase in order to upgrade the item. 6) I want them to add more research items. Period point blank done. Lol I have no ideas on what to add but I am sure there is something we could add too research that you could then use later on to help your restaurant empire. Overall Idea: I have read previos comments and I can see why people might not have liked the game. HOWEVER, this company has been coming up with constant updates and each update has vastly improved game life in my opinion. As it is with this latet update it is a pretty fun game in the free mode and with more updating it will just continue to grow in the fun aspect. As for those hating on the story, we are tycoon lovers and they can add to the story yes, but I feel like the free game is where it's at with tycoon gams and this game is constantly improving and creating a fun building environment.. If you loved Pizza Connection 1, then that's what you're getting. It has the same "bad" but lovable music like back then, the gameplay is very arcade-ish and really misses depth, but it's a cute game. For 30$ I find it heavily overpriced for the fact it's pretty much just the old game revamped to run on win10 64 bit. If you wanna relive the nostalgia though and loved the first part(s), go for it. If you're new to the game, meh, not even in sale I guess.
