Pittsburgh Steelers add offensive line depth with Dan Moore pick

In the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers added to their offensive line room with the selection of Dan Moore, an offensive tackle out of Texas A&M. The Steelers continue to add big boys in the trenches to improve the run game and protect the aging Ben Roethlisberger. To buy more Steelers Jerseys cheap with cheap price, you can visit steelerjersey.com official website.

Dan Moore is a great pass blocker with quick striking hands and great movement in his feet. The Pittsburgh Steelers are still rumored to sign Alejandro Villanueva back to the team, but a deal has not been made yet. Moore adds to the need of improving upfront and adding more depth to the offensive line for the Steelers.Dan Moore stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs around 315 pounds, giving him nice size for an offensive tackle in the NFL. Moore played most of his time on the left side of the line where he will likely continue to play and develop for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Moore played in a zone-blocking scheme which translates well to what the Steelers want to do in the run game and in pass protection. With great foot movement, knee bend, and striking ability with his hands, Moore has exciting upside as a pass protector at the next level.

Dan Moore’s biggest weakness would be in the run game, where he lacked natural power at the point of attack. This is the main concern for him being a day one starter. Moore is undoubtedly a developmental prospect, but with proper coaching, he will continue to develop and get that power blocking mentality to his arsenal.Regardless, Moore fills a need for the Pittsburgh Steelers. As mentioned, Villanueva is not a guarantee to return and the Steelers need to continue to add to that offensive line. The Steelers may have found their center of the future in Kendrick Green and perhaps Dan Moore can develop into a starter one day as well. Moore has good size, technique, and the ability to be a good player with some more coaching and experience.
