About This Game

Ominous clouds are gathering over Persia. The good natured king Badiya is mortally ill and the demonic Grand Vizier Zaved holds his subjects in an iron grip, bringing the country to the edge of ruin. To make matters worse, a shadowy disease has appeared out of nowhere, spreading across the land. A young and talented apothecary Tara decides to find the cause of this plague and prevent it from spreading further. A quest full of puzzles and challenges awaits, one that will lead her to the far reaches of kingdom and even beyond it. Luckily for her, Tara won't be alone in this endeavour. She will be assisted by a mysterious acrobat and swordsman Darius, as well as goofy but kind-hearted geenie Minu. Will the 3 daredevils succeed in finding the source of an ancient evil and stop the impending doom? Join the quest and lead Tara to victory.

If you like HO/puzzle games, then get it. Good story, good characters, scenes, graphics and music. One of Artifex Mundis best published/produced games.. I've played and enjoyed almost all of the Artifex Mundi games, but this is one of the weakest ones. I don't expect much from a HOG story, but this one was just complete nonsense, more so than normal. I had no idea who these people were or what the heck was going on, and somehow everyone in this supposed Persia looks and talks like they're from California. There weren't many actual hidden object scenes, 2 or 3 traditional ones and another few where you have to find 15 of the same thing that could be completed in like 30 seconds with zero challenge. Most of the minigames were very easy, and there weren't any original ones. On the positive side, it's got cards and an easy 100% achievement completion, and probably most people got this in a bundle like me and so didn't pay much.. I can highly recommend the game.
It has an excellent story ( a kind of fairytale without fairies) and a good amount of good and varied puzzles and hidden object scenes. I enjoyed every single minute of playing Persina Nights: Sans of wonders.. It was good, but not as good as others have played from Artifex Mundi. Had some problems with the way they do audio and had to remove some kernel sound modules because it was causing confusion for them. The game seemed a little shorter than the others. This is the first one of the series played so can't comment on them. It was more like playing a movie with a little interaction. Not as many HOG or puzzles as some of the other games from them have played. Also much easier to solve. First time never had to to resort to youtube to solve one. Not bad, but not real good either.. I can highly recommend the game.

I enjoyed every single minute of playing Persina Nights: Sans of wonders.. A beautifully produced, but very short and especially easy casual point-and-click adventure.

There are only a few simple hidden-object scenes, and the puzzle mini-games are almost trivial, but the delightful graphics, music, and voice acting overcome these flaws to provide for a pleasant couple of hours. Those seeking a “real” hidden-object challenge should look elsewhere, but if you don't feel like taxing your brain too much, this is a nice once.

Before we announce some more details about the Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love (which you can still add to wishlist by the way), we have something very special for classic adventure games fans!

Although Matryoshkans love potatoes the most, there’s also one more thing close to our hearts. It’s eggs. Easter eggs to be exact.

Irony Curtain is set in the 50s, but we did our best to spice it up a little with pop culture references from modern movies, comics, games and classic point & clicks. It’s kind of mandatory thing when creating the classic adventure game.

Overall, we keep the balance between the story and the references, and there are places you will have a hard time finding them, but sometimes we literally go crazy with Easter eggs in some locations.

Just look at the screenshot below and try to find all the references we’ve hidden there. There’s also a hint under spoiler below:

Thank you for purchasing the Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love! We hope that your journey to the bestest country in the world was as great as babushka’s compot! If so, leave as a Steam Review – for the glory of Matryoshka!

This is the first of a few updates to Irony Curtain. We are aware that Western Spies have planted some bugs here and there, but our special antispy forces are ready to eliminate them once and for all!

That’s why we’re presenting you the official Revolutionary Update with some fixes and polishes, including:

• fixed a few active area points for better cursor feedback;
  
• fixed a blocking bug that could occur when exiting the Floor Run minigame while Evan is still running;
  
• fixed sound timing for two final cutscenes;
  
• fixed errors and typos in the German version of the game;
  
• made The Butcher's line of business more obvious.

As you might have noticed, the premiere build is missing manual save slots. We’ve found that there is a possibility that reloading the manual save might fail to call all of the proper actions and changes on a scene, which can cause errors. Since those errors might be game blocking in specific cases, we decided to turn this feature off and only bring it back when we are 300% sure that it works properly. Hopefully, this happens very very soon.
