It was in the summer(July ‘21) during my Internship in Gurgaon, Delhi. I, with one of my close friend, planned to have a sound bike trip in the mountain (None of us had prior experience of mountain biking before). So, here how we completed our 3N/2D short trip in Haridwar, Rushikesh, Dehradun, and Mussorie.

We reached Rishikesh from Delhi Hiring a car and from there we hired a Bike to complete the rest of the tour there, which is more feasible than starting bike-ride from Delhi itself.

> Day 0: We started our journey on a Friday night from Delhi ISBT bus-terminal for Rishikesh around 11 pm. Make sure that you have booked your bus tickets prior to your journey from a trusted source (online/ offline). We reached there around 7 am in the moring.

> Day 1: After Reaching there, we had our breakfast and headed towards Laxmanjhula for Rafting and cliff-jumping. There is a lot of rafting agencies there who conduct rafting. Make sure, you bargain well with them, they sometime ask for high price first.

** While Rafting in Ganges, Don’t miss an opportunity of jumping in the mid-Ganga, especially in front of the rapids. You’ll definitely enjoy it the most.

After completing Rafting around 11 am , we visited some local sites like Laxmanjula, Ramjhula and some temples on the bank of Ganges. Then we had lunch and hired a Bike from there. Again, make sure you have booked the vehicle beforehand to avoid consequences of booking on spot, because they demand much higher price there. You may find varieties of bikes starting from Bullets, Avengers to Pulsar etc.

**Remember to keep: Driving License, Residential Proof, Photocopies and 2 photographs of you.

Then, from Rishikesh we directly headed towards Mussorie via Dehradun at 2.30 pm to reach there before the sun set. We reached there around 6.30 pm. It took 1.5 hrs to reach Dehradun and on the entrance to the hill station there was huge traffic because during the weekends, this tourist spots become overcrowded then. And Thanks to that, we failed to find a hotel reaching there in the evening. We faced some difficulties, but overcame it very happily with an unique experience to spend a whole night in such a romantic place. Believe me, There were lot of people like us without permanent staying option there in the Gandhi Chowk. We visited Mall Road at night and had dinner there.

** Make sure you have powerbank with you, because Google Map will be very handy throughout your trip.

Day 2:

After soending a sleepless night there, we kicked our bike at 4.00 am in the morning after having breakfast there. Then we visited some popular places there like Lal Tibba, Gun Hill to witness the Sunrise in the Northern hills.

After the We headed towards one of the most beasutiful places in Mussorie called George Point. From there, we went to watch Kempty falls, one of the most beautiful natural waterfalls in India. Don’t miss an opportunity to take a bath there. The place is really awesome. you will enjoy a lot :)

Paragliding and Trekking: You may enjoy Paragliding there if you are ready to spend some penny and you also may go for for a day’s trek from there if your time permits.
Around 11 am in the morning, we headed towards Dehradun from Mussorie. There is not many things to watch in Dehradun except the Robber's Cave. After visiting it, We directly returned to Rishikesh with a hurry to submit the bike on time. So you can imagine how much biking you have involve in one day if you really wish to fulfill this. But trust me, this is really adventurous and you’ll never forget this experience, especially if it’s your first Mountain-biking :D

From Rishikesh, we weent to Haridwar to watch the famous Ganga-arati in Har Ki Pauri there. After that we returned to Delhi.

Ogonn car rental is a very convenient Car/bike rental company you can try.
