About This Game

Nocturnal Hunt is a dark, first-person stealth game for PC where you play a wolf.

Be a wolf in a forest full of cruel hunters and rescue your stolen cub.
Sneak your way through the gloomy woods or rip your opponents apart. No matter how, find your way to Brasov - the village of the hunters and the core of the evil.
Hunt or you will be hunted!

Story playthrough: 15-45 minutes

Here you can find a list of core mechanics you will encounter while playing Nocturnal Hunt.

Wolf Instincts
Smell what you are not able to see. Trace tracks, discover hidden collectibles and see enemies through obstacles across distances.

Brutal Kills
Target your enemies with stealth. When you are close enough to attack your targets, your wolf jaw will become visible. That is the time to attack and rip your victim into pieces.

Breaking Bottles
Walk on bottles to break them to lure nearby hunters. Any hunter who hears the noise will investigate the source. The lure tactic can be used to your advantage.

Choose your playing style
Nocturnal Hunt, as a stealth game, can be played without a single kill.
You have the choice: bloody beast or non-violent wolf.

Rewards
Depending on your playing style you can get different rewards with each playthrough and unlock several achievements. Some of the rewards are quite hard to achieve.

Hidden Meat
The search for your cub makes you hungry! Explore the unknown world and look for hidden meat. Keep your wolf eyes open. The meat might be in the darkest corners of the forest.





The areas are rather small, but filled with details and ambience:

Mountain
Strong wind. Cold nights. Your home. The hunters don't enter your territory unless they don't have a choice.

Forest
The hunter cult from Brasov is invading the forest. Year by year they reach further into what used to be yours.

Mine
The humans destroyed the mountains by drilling holes in them. These mines are the only way left to enter the village. It won't be easy to get through there without being seen.

Village
The citadel of human rottenness. The smell of death and feces is in the air. Huts constructed of dead trees and on top of it all their monument of death: The Cultists Church.

We're a team of 15 independent game developers mostly from Berlin. Nocturnal Hunt was born at the Games Academy as a students project in the third and fourth semester. We were strongly influenced by games like Thief, Bloodborne but also old titles like Gothic I. 1075eedd30

INCREDIBLY short, very simple stealth-based action game following a mother wolf in search of her captured pup.

Pretty visuals, a little replayability, some bugginess.

BE AWARE, some of the Steam achievements don't work.

But for $6, I got an hour of entertainment out of it and got to feel like a vengeful spirit of nature, so not bad!. A great and beautiful jorney, although it's a litte too short.
The whole game is very enjoyable, stealth mechanics easy enough for those who had hard time playing stealth game(aka me)
Theme and world are unique, but the ending.....maybe dev should consider making a hidden altenate ending?

(something happened and the play time isn't properly recorded. After i shut the game, I have to replay from the begining. My playtime for a single run is approximatly an hour, as I said, i suck at stealth). Okay, I did one play through and it actually took less than the 0.8 hours I have on record. It's that short (the store page does mention it takes about 15-45 minutes for a single play through. This seems pretty accurate.)
There isn't much depth to the game and it might be a decent distraction if you get it on sale (I picked it up on a Summer Sale for pretty cheap.) The premise seemed pretty good but it feels like the game is missing features or it was underdeveloped, which contributed to my lack of interest in playing through more than once.

Edit: I'll give them a positive nod for getting a game to market. It appears to be their first try at this, so kudos there.. As a fan of stealth games I was surprised by this one, a short game but really nice one. You play as a wolf which can sneak and smell. Simple mechanics. Has trophies for different types of playthrough.. i finnished this game in 15 minuts

Well then this game is for you..stealth is on point..you break steal get spotted..you gonna die one shot. Short game for those who just wanna beat something..but if you wanna prove skill and get some trophies..well this game will take a bit longer. And for a few bucks?! I say give it shot you might enjoy killing everything that decided it was a good idea to touch your cub!. Are you protective? Are you a animal?
